Kudos Zoah Nightwater for the Burning of Burdens

Post by stoneheart- »

This is belated, but this was truly a great event: simple but effective and well-thought out. Everyone got their moment and was respected, something rare to see these days.

Thanks to everyone who showed up and participated, too, it was very interesting to get a peek into your stories in some small way.

I had such a good time at that event, highly thematic and full of symbolism while being extremely accessible, and letting everyone share the spotlight (or bonfire).

Thanks, y'all. I had a lot of fun too. This was my first time doing the Burning in the method that we did, so I think I'll run it that way from now on. Mostly because, like Kuma said, I enjoyed seeing a bit of insight into other characters and getting to interact with their stories like that. I'll be thinking of ways I can do things like this in smaller ways too, without getting too specific.

I think it was an awesome idea on Zoah's part; very creative use of storytelling methods. I really loved seeing everyone's personal tales be brought up and how they were interacted with - the potato face one tickled me, I'll admit. If I was a dab hand at Microsoft Paint, I'd draw it.
