Named Bosses - Suggestion

We will file suggestions here that did not make the cut. Don't expect detailed responses, but the most common reasons are:

  • implementing the suggestion is impractical, or too much work for the gain
  • the suggestion is thematically against our design philosophy
  • the suggestion is too detailed/low-level
    Keep your suggestions broad and focused on RP benefits, please, not detailed suggestions of how to fix everything.

So, with the Wharftown Plot currently in motion, I mentioned to another player how disappointing it is that the famous boss that is bringing this epic war to the town has already been beaten by countless characters, many of whom seem quite happy to suggest "Got her head nailed on my wall".

What if, particular named bosses such as Abuzza, Icingbreathe, Paush had a *Flee* script in place. Where when they hit Near Death they ran away, so to live and battle another day. So then no one can truly claim to have outright killed these famous creatures unless in a DM Event.

Then, in regards to loot and bounty, when the creatures flee in their panic they could drop a lootbag that possesses their normal loot, minus and head and replaced by something that the Bounty Hunters would know to have been a possession of that creature. "Wait, is that.. It is! By Gods I have seen pictures of Abuzza's horns!".
