Mighty Rage has no other effects, the others do their usual things. Max rage level is therefore 10 with all 3 epic feats.

I'd like to see mighty and thundering rage do something more, because even with +1 rage level, they are totally unworthy of the few epic feats a barb gets access to.

Wielding only a single battleaxe still seems to give lower damage bonus than wielding a two handed weapon.

Yes, I updated the code to only give the bonus for two handed melee weapons since I couldn't easily stop you equipping a shield or second weapon after raging.

Still not quite right for Small PCs.

my only regret is that this makes barbarians less powerful in bar brawls

Not that they're still the ultimate bar brawlers :P

Aside from another damage step forward for two handers, and benefits for mighty and thundering rage, I think the reworked barbarian is both fun to play in pve, and competitive in pvp, which is not something i'd ever have said about a barbarian before.

Is it possible to make a decent unarmed Barbarian? Maybe with a bit of monk mixed in?

I've got a character concept that I'd like to try. A girl that likes to tear things apart with her armored fists, and can rage to fuel the slaughter.

You can't make a monk barbarian, because a barbarian is unlawful always, and a monk is always lawful.

Yeah, it's like paladins and bards, you can't - nevermind.

Actually, that made me laugh out loud and I attracted several odd looks  :D

Ok, so just to make clear... What exactly are the new rage benefits/detriments as it stands now and should we expect more significant nerfing/boosting? From what I've read (10 pages is a lot to filter through) I'm curious to this new and seemingly improved version of a severely lacking class but IMO it still needs something. Mostly here just to clarify precisely what the new rage has been decided on? Thanks in advance..

So near as I can tell, the benefits at current of rage are:

 +50% movement speed while raging
 Bonus to will saves equivalent to CON mod + Rage Level (rage uses per day, adjusted by 1 for each range feat, between 1 and 10 points depending on barb level and rage feats)
 Biteback damage equal to CON mod + Rage Level * 3
 Bonus Weapon Damage equal to ???; greater bonuses provided for large weapons.
 Temp HP equal to Max HP pool multiplied by half the fractional barbarian level makeup of total character level (with 100% barb levels, rage bonus is 50% of max HP, with 50% barb levels, it's 25%, and so on).
 Rage lasts 2d4 rounds + con modifier? I think.

Rage is now an infinite use ability with a 60 second cooldown between rages.

Personal experience is that they're quite formidable as they stand right now. Against some opponents they'll feel downright overpowered, against others (particularly foes that can outlast the rage, or that do a large fraction of their damage at range with high AC), they'll struggle. They can rage once a fight (sometimes twice) which can make them absurdly hard to bring down while they deal out damage. If there's one major complaint to have about them, it's that WM builds seem to do better in 90% of scenarios, but this is because fighter based builds at current are just a little too good at making themselves impervious to most forms of harm without sacrificing an ounce of offensive potential, and WM is probably the one that does best in the widest number of situations. It's not an imprecation of barbarian strength so much as it is an indicator that Fighter/WM benefits from several sequential and very potent buffs that seem to leave them with a little too much of everything.

Your mileage, of course, may vary.

Weapon damage is equal to your rage level Scurvy, with +3 for large weapons.

When you get up higher level it jumps to 2d6, up to 2d12 with all the levels, and a few in between are just the solid +9 or +10 damage.
