Kudos from Sharo

Post by Commissar »

After a long hiatus, Sharo Alearee has (sort-of!) returned to the island in earnest. And, boy, has our resident snark-mercenary met some awesome faces. The list is far from exhaustive, but thanks to all the folks below who have cheerfully rocked my roleplaying world, in no particular order:

(Lady) Isabella Coltella: Izzy is an arrogant, cocky little ball of pure avarice. And that's exactly why we love her. Who would've thought, Sharo finally found an employer as utterly devoid of common decency as she is! (No, really. We're good people. It's okay. Really. Please don't leave us.) I foresee this is the beginning of a beautiful relationship.

Laine Varley: Doug is fantastic. Doug is grand. Oh, I guess Laine's okay too.

Eldwyn: Eldwyn is the counterbalance to Laine, Isabella, and Sharo's collective insanity. The grizzled old veteran is the rock on which we shall build our collective fortunes, and the island'll be ground down to sand before he falters. He's an absolute ball. As long as he can keep closing his eyes whenever Izzy and Sharo get up to business, that is.

Oturo Ulfiarn: Who would've thought that brief interaction in the Nomad would grow to this? Sharo's found the sort of companionship in Oturo she's never before seen on the island. There's an unspoken understanding between the two veteran mercenaries that is just beautiful to see. Oturo is a half-orc of few words, but each one is an absolute joy to read. Keep on rocking on, Champion of the Blade!

Drift: I'm not sure if you're still here, but I had a ball interacting with you the first time. One day, we shall take our revenge on the Kobolds. The little lizards shall quake at our coming!

Draavos Lynn: You know what you did. Draavos is a ball of fun (and murderous, terrifying rage. That poor chair. That poor chair.)

Hilde: Hilde's one of those characters with a backstory so rich I'd like to hang her over a pot and squeeze until the story drips out. One day, we'll sit down and have a good long chat without murdering things, Northwoman! Your writing during that werewolf scene in the Talassian fortress was absolutely spot-on and, though Sharo was unfazed, little ol' me was shaking in my boots.

Nyilan (Disguised): Nyilan is the best sort of bad news. He's equal parts snide, charming, and eerily cold, when he needs to be. Exactly what one would expect, from one the pacted. Warlock is a difficult niche to slot into, but you do it beautifully. Thank you further corrupting Sharo's blackened heart, and I look forward to a profitable relationship in future.

Quin & Nikolaus: Never before have I had so much fun on a trip into the worst nightmares of humankind. Five stars, would visit the hideous imaginings of the Abyss again. Quin's 'The chains are off!' line had me in stitches, and Nikolaus is so wonderfully jaded now. One day, we will all cower in a corner while Nyilan's summons save us again.

Ashcroft Stanasby: (Terribly sorry if I mispelt your name.) Thank you for being there, that first night Sharo stumbled into the bar. You are a true hero, and create RP like it's no-one's business.

Marsie: Marsie. Dear Marsie. A loss to the art of mercenary-ing if there ever was one. You're an absolute joy to play with, and one day Sharo will peel Marsie away from her guard duties long enough to have a proper conversation without bodies popping up all over the place.

Cardman: Kiravias is mysterious. Kiravias is wise. Kiravias gives off a constant vibe of being able to hex you into next week if you irritate him. Your writing is some of the finest I've had the pleasure of reading, and stories sprout in your wake like saplings following a storm. Someone, please, give this person the finest RPR we can find.

Vinclive: Vin's great fun to be around. Even if his grasp of the more entertaining magics is somewhat lacking (What do you mean, fireball's not entertaining?). I had a great time when we all wandered off into the woods, and look forward to dragging Vinclive back into Sharo's schemes as soon as humanely (elfingly?) possible.

And, finally, props to everyone Sharo's run into over the last few weeks. I've no doubt forgotten people. Rest assured that you are equally incredible, and thank you so much for all the fun you've made happen lately. Here's looking forward to a lot more!
May you live in interesting times.

Hell yeah I'm still here, those kobolds won't know what hit 'em.

Yeeeeesssssssss...I got Nyilan into a kudos. All that matters in my life has been achieved.

Sharo is just great to interact with and I definitely can't wait for more. I always have to up my game when I encounter someone else who uses pet language and may as well be considered charming themselves. Sharo has had to make me do this. And I love every second of it.

Oturo-player here - Sharo makes it very difficult to play a character who doesn't like elves. She's got a lot of depth, and I can't wait to see more of her.

My roommate startled.
Because the description you wrote made me laugh like a swamp hag.

Sharo herself is a real pleasure to me, mostly for the fluidity; the constant, rapid exchange in creativity. She feels as a truly alive character, as somebody you know you can reach and poke and you are going to feel (and probably get a weird look from) almost instantly.
Expect to get hexed poked in the foreseeable future!

Don't click weird links, kiddos.
