The Farewell of a Merchant.

Post by AnselHoenheim »

And after thinking it about.....for a long time, I had definitely finished Carlos, so, he passed out dead by an evil Necrotic disease, so sad :(

So, as the character have been rolled, there is several Kudos I want to give away that had helped Carlos in its adventures for a merchant, so there we go!

- Quickfingers - Okay, there's no way I could guess which is this character true name, but really, the name fitted amazing! From the beginning, in that awesome first quest (That we never completed) I had enjoyed every interaction with Quickfingers, as two great merchants bargaining, amazing interactions with your character! I loved them a lot! Thank you very much!

- Bardin - His best customer so far! Every time Carlos had to sell something, Bardin appeared for selling more things to sell! But I loved that commerce a lot, and it was really enjoyable! Thank you very much!

- Bok - Yes, the little dirty halfling, I loved his complicated speech, and how Carlos were able to translate (most of the time) his complicated talking, but inside that horrible speech there was a merchant inside! And every interaction between both were very enjoyable, thank you very much!

- Kyomi Sin'var - The private, and the only one that wasn't immune to Carlos charming, a shame I couldn't interact more with your character, but any small one was really good ones. Thank you very much.

- Duskaria Weaver - Another character I would wish to interact more, but the small encounters and her motherly more-kind rp were more than remarkable, I really loved every RP Carlos had with Duskaria. Thank you very much!

- The Arcane Tower folks: Arkwin Than'eil, Damianus dor Dalarien, Iocastos, Cuthbert Siegfred Percival, your characters are amazing, and I had enjoyed the job as a Warden Carlos had in the Tower in the meanwhile he was performing his duty....most of the time! Thank you!

- Shaeyl Arthbran - Special mention for the grumpy, yet lovely elf, even if Carlos and Shae didn't had a good start in their meets, they ended being somehow friends after all the commerce around Guldorand, amazing interactions with your character! Thank you very much!

- Rannos Susidian - And finally, another great Kudos for your character by Carlos, even if Carlos is probably the opposite of Rannos, he earned some respect to Carlos for his way of acting, and that change into living at Guldorand give onto Carlos a place to consider home, until the end, thank you very much!

Also, about the rest I did forget, (because, probably, I have forgotten a lot of names here), I'm sorry if I did, but you have everyone a Kudos.

And with this, the merchant went into the light to continue its commerce.....elsewhere!

Sin'vah!

Carlos was an amazing character, I absolutely loved our talks - even though we hadn't had a lot of those. The fact that he's dead makes me a bit sad - Kyomi won't get a chance to fine him for calling her a "miss" ever again.

Carlos was one of the three people shanna met and spoken to when i she first came here, his was the first shop she had ever used, while she couldnt aford anything carlos was always so calm and charismatic and he gave her a book of nature for free, even though at the time i didnt know i would never be able to use it.

Shanna never forgot his kindness at that time and had befriended him ever since, it is sad to see him go :)

Carlos was the best Amnian ever. I loved using him in examples of how to portray culture, rather than through accents or language, you just did it in style. That's an achievement you should be proud of, you're one of the most notable people on the server (for me) to have done so. Carlos was also a great shopkeeper and an everpresent person who could stop and have a chat at any time, which is a great thing for jaded old timers and new people alike.

Thanks for having him stick around, he was a good friend and an even greater ally. It warmed my heart to see Carlos wanting to be around Guldorand for some time. It was a drastic shift from Rannos begging him to own a shop there in the beginning, to where we ended up. I'm glad I got a chance to take part of Carlos's journey.

Carlos... The best Amnish Merchant ever. The man's skill in sales was so good, he could have sold Skyrim to a game-hater. We'll miss that character.
