What happens to our current warlock staffs though?

Re: Warlocks
Regarding new balor doubts:
Gate Good/Evil summons have a hide with:
SR 32
DR 30/+3
Immunity: Poison, Disease, Paralyzation
Darkvision
True Seeing
Haste
As for Stats, they have:
STR: 23
DEX: 13
CON: 25
Attack Bonus: +30
Armor Class: 34
HP: 300
Weapon: Hellfire Whip (+5, +1d6 Negative, +1d6 Divine), 17~20/x2.
Feats:
Acid Resist: 20/-
Cold Resist: 20/-
Fire Resist: 40/-
Eletrical Resist: 40/-
Knockdown
Damage Vulnerability: Divine (50%)
I took the initiative to rename the "controlled" Balor from gate to Balor Lord as it's WAY stronger than normal balor. It was designed to be a short duration strong summon (except for BG, who have them aways on to reward high level investment).
New Balor > NWN Balor Lord
New Vrock =/= NWN Epic Vrock (at BG30 this one have up to 9 more AB, 220 more HP, way lower damage potential and lower AC) ==> The fight could be even

Re: Warlocks
And I didn't see it earlier but are warlocks supposed to have cooldowns? Was just trying it a little bit, and it seems awesome, though currently all spells are affected by the cooldown script (going by the 2x spells a round, it seems they weren't supposed to be affected by it?)

Got my arse handed to me by a pack of rats. Should have gone fiend!

Re: Warlocks
I imagine any area with 'clumps' of enemies in really confined spaces will be rough to begin with.
Re: Warlocks
Surface side, I'd recommend those warrior ghosts/allips. They spawn in wide open areas, and a large portion of their difficulty for lowbies arises from their physical DR against non-magic weapons. Would need to try for sure.

Re: Warlocks
I'd guess the standard for unseelie would be Enchantment + Abjuration?
And then Abyss/Infernalist would be Conjuration + Abjuration?
Abjuration solely for that G.Dispel spam.
Man I am so hype.

I renamed it back, to create space for the balor lord for Conj focused WarlocksYellena wrote: I took the initiative to rename the "controlled" Balor from gate to Balor Lord as it's WAY stronger than normal balor. If your Warlock is built with a decent dex and str and able to melee, the rats should be OK - you'll take some hits, of course, but you should take them out in exchange. If you're playing a caster focused feylock, then yes, the enclosed rat ships are probably a bad place to be at level 3.

Could someone break this forum down into a post here at the end with the finalized changes so we don't have to sift through six pages of posts trying to pick out the things that have changed out of the Q&A?

Don't use cross-area parties and -dispel while idle. Every bit of lag less is a penny in my therapy jar.

Time to build...
EDIT: Oh, and uh... do fiendish warlocks finally get the respective demons/devils or is it still demons only?

Re: Warlocks
Alright! Couple of questions...
1: If you take Warlock later by speaking to an NPC ingame, will the pact convert you to all this or do I have to level first?
2: Does the ASF apply to other spellcasting classes, e.g. Wizard/Warlock casting Wizard spells in light armor?

Re: Warlocks
1 - taking the pact will set you up new-style.
2 - Yes. This is an interaction with Warlock and Favored Soul I don't like very much, so it may change in future (e.g. the amount of ASF may be dependent on how pure-class you are) but for now, it simply applies.

Re: Warlocks
Is Weave Mastery cooldown effect intended? I've seen nothing of the cooldown being used, but playing my Warlock right now, I get cooldowns on my spells.
Edit: I see this was asked already, my bad. Didn't see an answer though.

Re: Warlocks
It is not intended and is already fixed on the surface, or seems to be.
I imagine it'll be fixed upon next reset elsewhere.

Re: Warlocks
I didn't find this in the initial post. Can Warlocks use wands etc.?

Re: Warlocks
Ah, that's great. Figuring it out in the middle of a battle was tough, so it's not fixed yet on Cordor.
Edit: Yeah, Warlocks can use wands and scrolls as normal. You don't get Blast effect with them, though.

Re: Warlocks
- The cooldown is not intentional, and will be fixed next reset if it hasn't been fixed already.
- Sure, warlocks can use wands and things. Blast damage will only be applied when the spell is cast normally (again, effective next reset - right now it applies to spells cast from all sources).

Re: Warlocks
Is it also intentional that spells won't trigger if you don't hit touch attack? ^^

Re: Warlocks
It seems if you equip and de-equip the same piece of armor multiple times it applies the -20% ASF every time you do so. Not sure if the multiple effects actually do anything or not, but....
