Headed to Norway to touch grass from the 24th to the 29th. Akorae, coincidentally, will be going on a trip in the same timespan.

People may have noticed Thomas isn’t around as much at the moment, but I’m having a small burn out on him. While I’ve been bringing him back just yesterday, I’m still taking it a bit slow in the coming days. Thanks for your patience!

Re: Thread of Disappearance
It been a weird spring/early summer and I will be present much more often, or available to play more often. My internship took a odd turn and it is unsure what happens as summer rolls by. Health reasons! Nothing serious but it threw a wrench into the cogs.
Re: Thread of Disappearance
Summer holidays on the go and will be spending much more time with the kid. Should still be pretty available, but Atticus will around a bit less for a few weeks.

Been dealing with sickness for two weeks and it's been worsening. Vasyrin will be scarce until I get better.

Not quite disappearing, but motivation for Akorae has dunked due to some life matters. I will be more sporadic than usual.

It's that time of year where we burn what funds are left in the budget, thus I'll be pulling extra OT shifts for the next month. Won't be around much until funds are exhausted.

The real Imryll will be away 18th-20th September.
For shop stuff, it'll have to wait until I'm back.
For ship stuff, reach out to the crew.
Re: Thread of Disappearance
The player we collectively knew as Hunter548 has passed away.
Characters you may know him from include Belduil Le'fen, Khamed Serap, Verankht Zarunkumar, and Pelagius Castillian.
His family reached out to myself to let those who'd want to know, know - and I know he has been absent from NWN/this community for a while but given that I met him through Arelith (as did countless others) I feel like I should pass this on.
He was a brother to me and so many others through over fifteen years of dumb silly fantasy roleplay games and so much more than that - and I know he'd appreciate the humour of me putting this in the 'afk' thread.
Please let your thoughts be with his family, as are mine. I miss you man.

A truly active player here over many, many years that I know had an impact on the lives of many players, either as a seasoned roleplayer, DM or an OOC friend, who contributed so much to the collective story of Arelith.
A great many held him in high regard, and he was not shy in sharing his feedback and insight. With strong opinions, and always astute in his observations, he belongs to a small set of players that played an outsized role in shaping the Arelith of today.
My best wishes to his friends here, and, of course, his family. To some people I know this game may seem a frivolous hobby, and perhaps it is, yet it is nevertheless a community spanning nearly a quarter of a century and thousands of individuals. To step beyond any threshold, having left that place richer than one found it, is the finest legacy anyone can have. He certainly did so here.

Things like this always saddens me. I don't think I ran into him but it is still a loss to the community and of course, his family and close friends. RIP.

It is sad to hear of the passing of Hunter548. My condolences to his family, friends and loved ones. He will be missed but never forgotten.
Although he and I were not close, his influence rubbed off on me through all the years of interactions and helped aid in the development of my own roleplay, character thought and conceptualizing process. I was shaped by either being his enemy, in the same guilds or a close knit of Harper Scouts back in the day - each interaction left an impression and I can still recall to this date some of the moments that we shared.
The community is our family, this server is our home. And, with this news we are one less short in physical body but we carry them in our prayers, hearts and memories.
I could ramble about the encounters we had, the jokes that were shared (or at my expense as I grew up here!), but I could never do him justice. What has been said above by Kuma and Irongron could not have been said better.
Rest in peace Hunter458.

This news is heartbreaking; I remember Hunter548 primarily as an old guard from my very early years on Arelith. He was a staple of this community. My thoughts are with his friends and family.

I wasn't expecting to get my heart broken like this when I decided to come and stalk the forums.
Truly sad to learn.
For a few good years he was one of my main influences and one of those people that always made me want to log in, because I knew we'd have fun.
I will be thinking of him and his.
Re: Thread of Disappearance
I needed some time to recall then it strike me there was a period when we were consantly in interaction decade ago...in Pit Town.

I'm not afraid to say I cried yesterday. Whilst Will and I hadn't spoken in years, he was one of the few people I considered a really long term friend, and I always just kind of expected him to be around. We were friends on all the social medias and I enjoyed stalking him to see how he was getting on from thing to time - I'm really going to miss him. He was kind, funny, sweet, dark and delightful.

Re: Thread of Disappearance
Despite being in several chats with Billy I wasn't overly communicative with him.
He is and was the sort of person that his presence meant more to me than the conversation ever could.
While we didn't always see eye to eye years ago it is something we got past and I personally believe were better for it, sharing laughs and moments that I will always hold dear.
It is sad to see someone like him pass, and I wish he had had more time to do what it is he wished in life, but I am thankful for the time I had to know him and for the impact he had on my life, no matter big or small.
And while the above is my formalised regards and thoughts I don't think I can convey how hard his passing hit me. Gonna miss you my guy, you meant so much to so many people.

Damn, wasn't expecting this.
As Irongron said, he certainly had strong opinions and we sometimes did clash, but he was someone I'd often go to with development ideas and even when I needed some PVP help. I started here playing at the Arcane Tower, but he was one of the players I looked to outside of there to learn the RP ways of Arelith.
Definitely someone who had a lasting impact.
Re: Thread of Disappearance
Discussions on Health Care Systems...
Fantastic in depth, dramatic roleplay with Justin, where he cut his hand off...
Writing Verankht Wants Milk
Chasing Verankht (a tiefling who curdled milk around him) around in a circle about a bottle of milk to see if it made cheese (It didnt')
Listening to conversations, and jokes as friends...
HIs first ever character, a Sun Elf, apparently saying, when asked where he came from, 'The Sun!' - these are stories that will live with me for many years.
We hadn't talked for many years, but I remember these good memories, and be sad I won't get to make more with him.
