Sea Shanties is definitely right that K&I has a distinct disadvantage when it comes to regaining piety mid-adventure, when compared to most other aspects. Which is a fair point. I agree with the argument that K&I, like all other aspects, should have a means of gaining piety beyond the 6 minute uptick when away from town. Identification of items does fit nicely into their niche. Moreso, I think, than writing letters - which for many characters is an activity that happens so rarely that the piety gain from it is irrelevant.
That said, I'm not currently playing a K&I cleric, so I have no current experience to back up my assessment.

Re: Developer Commentary: Piety and Feedback
Possibly a bug.
When I use a heal kit (As a la'laskran) on my PC...
I get 0.2% piety when I command the heal to happen.
And I get 0.2% piety when it actually happens.
So a total of 0.4% for every healkit.
Is it supposed to fire off twice?

Bingo! War/Death healer cleric of an obscure god with 1 altar on the entire of Arelith here, I could barely use my spells before the update because it was so difficult to gain piety. Since the update I've been able to actually use my better spells and it's been MAGNITUDES more fun and viable. I hadn't realised just how gimped I was pre-update.Rotary wrote: Fri Dec 14, 2018 5:01 pm
That's not to say it's all been bad, I imagine this has been a large boon to healer path clerics who are actually healers. Allowing them to regain a decent amount of piety that was virtually unavailable to them by slaying enemies.
So thank you for this update!
