C&P. 2 Hours up. Hideous lag. Is this being addressed?

Chiming in here that the reset seemed to have made it worse. It's difficult to simply move around the city currently.

I popped into Surface and it seems to be running smooth over there. Something seems borked with C&P lately.

EST here. I had to log out because of how bad it was around that same time.

Hate to beat the horse, but has there been any hint as to the cause or acknowledgement of the issue? It's pretty intense and makes the server unplayable.

We are looking, but thus far haven't found the cause.

Is everyone here finding it is at its worst on C&P?

Currently it's just on C&P. In my experience it is worst and steady lag on C&P, comes in large spikes on Distant Shores, and not bad at all on the surface when this is going on.

The lag on C&P today is just awful. I transitioned to Surface and it doesn't seem laggy at all.

Today's lag on C&P was the worst I've ever seen it. Even in empty areas I was having trouble moving around. Teleporting back and forth constantly. Impossible to navigate to a door, and I can't imagine how difficult it made combat.

Have only tried Surface and C&P. Surface is pretty good. C&P is terrible. If it helps, I'm in the US.

I cant even leave C&P. I try and transition and just end up back on C&P.

Almost impossible to even leave my quarter on C&P, the rubber banding is so bad. Four second lag between when I type and hit enter, and when it actually appears above my PC's head.

Ever since the swap to EE, I've had lag - sometimes utterly unplayable. All my drivers are up to date (I have a driver updater service).

So irritating.

Surface is completely unplayable right now, when I am posting this. We're all just teleporting around and crashing non-stop. Massive delays.

That’s because there are 116 people on and a DM event going on. It’s not the same thing as C&P lag.

Ah, okay. Gotcha. That is a lot less concerning then.

The lag on Surface should be gone now.

C&P still has lag that we are investigating.

what is causing the absolutely unforgiveable lag though? i thought the server was under attack tbh. its horrendous

Under investigation.

Whenever it gets really bad, I get reminded of that time things got corrupted, and we had a big roll back. There was really bad/similar lag around then. So I am glad when I hear it is events or something normal.

There is considerable surface lag as well, at least around Cordor.

c&p is insufferable right now.

There are around 20 players on both Surface and Cities/Planes right now, and whilst the game is smooth and runs as well as it usually does sometimes, there are very frequent freezes and hang-ups for 10-15 seconds; when I say frequent I mean maybe once a minute, or every two minutes.

EDIT: A reset that followed this post by twenty minutes or so seems to have fixed the hang-ups.

Pardon the pun, but it usually is a magic bullet that solves issues like this!

Though often you have to fire a lot of bullets before you find the magic bullet.
