Worth noting- unless it's been changed since the last time I used it on a PC, dominate does not stun, it dazes. This is an important difference- a dazed creature can still move at walking speed, and can still do things like drink potions- which is REALLY awkward if someone drinks a clarity pot while you're dominating them.
Might merit some kind of change, although I'm unsure exactly what to suggest. Functionally, however, the only reason to use dominate on a pc over hold monster is if they have freedom on or you want a higher dc- either way, it can be immediately nullified with a clarity pot.
Does 'dominate' need a VFX?

Bane's tyranny is known throughout the continent, and his is the image most seen as the face of evil.

They're stunned. It's on the wiki and the update thread and, near as I know, had been live for some time. Again, not a personal dig, but it's really important to have accurate information when you give your opinions on mechanics.

True, which is why I mentioned that it could have changed- it's been awhile since I've played the enchanter in a hostile situation. Was just covering my bases, last time I did it this exact thing happened.Drowboy wrote: Mon Apr 13, 2020 11:31 pm They're stunned.
