For sure, I don't mind special, more challenging bosses (and, in high level areas, I'd absolutely love to see more of them!) but it's the signposting that's always the thing.
Making an active choice is a cool thing. Hey, consequences! Being suddenly turned into a fine paste because you opened one door that looked like all the other doors - Less so.
