Well you can certainly see where all the time, love, and work went into it. Holy crap.
Good work everyone! It gives the place a Very different feel, which I think is an improvement. Or maybe that is just because I actually really love changing things up.
Both? Sure. Both.

Including all the bugs, all the resets, all the fixes, and most especially all the additions.
I love you all, thank you. Thank you so much.
I have commented IC, OOC and now here... on some levels I feel like this update was for me because of how much positive is has and will do for my character. So. Thanks.
For you

I love it. I noticed a lot of NPCs have gotten white hair: Dirk, Reginali... etc.. Maybe they'll all die by heart attack when the next calamity hits Cordor!

That's so cruel, poor Billy speaking at death's door:
"If only I could hold my frisbee one more time."

New Cordor is absolutely outstanding. It really feels like a hand-crafted city you'd encounter in a pen and paper game. It's so nice and realistic to look at and really, really seems alive. There's so many new things to do as well, from plays to breaking into npc houses and murdering them. I can't even really type all my praise for it, it's that good. Might sound like a stereotype, but it kinda feels like King's Landing from GoT.
Thanks to everyone who gave up hours of their time and worked on it.
It's so good
I'd actually play a Cordorian.

I guess I needn't explain how challenging a project on this scale has been.
Cordor had been on my mind for some time. I strongly felt it should be the jewel in Arelith's crown (It and Andunor), and be distinctly unlike other settlements, and genuinely feel like a city (once again, as is the case with Andunor). Alongside the website and promotion efforts, having Cordor really 'shine' is something I'm so very happy to have seen acheived.
But, as I indicated in the original update post (and with many of fixes now complete), I want to properly thank the team that made this possible.
Septire
There really isn't enough praise I can heap on this guy, for long before the new team took their place he was working with me, and offering genuine insight on Arelith, having a hand in almost everything I've done for the last 2 years.
In Cordor he helped me from the outset, suggesting improvements for new aeras, and making it come alive.
What did he do? Well if you see something really dynamic in the city changes are he had a hand in it. The day/night rotations of some NPCs, and amazing new loot system that is going to revolutionise treasure-hunting on Arelith, and the breathtaking functionality of the Nomad Playhouse.
The best news? There are two things awaiting addition to Cordor, and one of them is arguably its very best feature, both of them his own work. Septire is a real force for good in Arelith, and has been quietly working to improve so many aspects of it. A lot of recognition I receive is rightly his.
Artos
I've always thought of Arelith being Artos' creation, above and beyond anyone else. As 'area guys' we work in a very similar way, and have an equally similar approach when it comes to our vision for Arelith.
In addition to his Arelith 'gura' advice throughout the project, he made the Cordor Theatre and the Derlson Estate. I can't put it any simpler than to say I'm just a huge fan of his work. Speaking to the npcs in those areas evokes that 'magic' of Arelith, and tells me just which server I'm playing on. Simply put he is the very best at what he does. The guy's an artist.
Dunshine
The man that brought you the wonderful cage fights of Andunor has given a similar functionality to the Cordor Arena. Without such stuff all Cordor, or any other place is, is little more than just a selection of prettily dressed tiles. Kudos to him for giving the players something to actually do.
He also has some good ideas in developement for the Nomad...
Scholar Midnight
Cordor would be all be perfectly fine in principle, but in practice it requires a server capable of handing that performance. Fewer, though larger areas is something we've only recently been able to consider, thanks almost entirely to her efforts. She also got the Cordor Press working, and I've large hopes for its role in the future of the city.
Peppermint
Since the new team took over Peppermint has behind almost every significant change in game, and much of the current enthusiasm for Arelith is of his making. This thread isn't the place to congratulate him on that, but he did get the Expeditionary Headqaurters working as I hoped they would, and for that I'm very grateful
Action Replay
Just kidding, he didn't actually do anything. I'm just adding his name here so I can tell the UD players feeling left out that they haven't been. Throughout this project he's been quietly working alone to further his own plan for the Underdark.
And finally the DM team, for doing a wonderful job in running the surrounding quests. When I asked them to help out with this I never expected such an enthusiastic response. Cordor lives right now, because they've really been making it sing for us.
Working for, and running Arelith is a huge pleasure for me, but I just had to take time out from the toolset to say a big thank you to the team I have alongside me. Updates like this just wouldn't happen without them.
EDIT: New I'd forget someone! The cumbersomely named Batrachophrenoboocosmomachia for his work on the Cordor Coal Mines and Palace. The former of these is such a great improvement, and is an excellent added low-level dungeon for Cordor. That, and that it really feels like a mine.
