I have had the DM badge for days now and been online for long hours without any DM reaching me. Just a feedback that this hasn't been an efficient way to request help from the DM team.

I don't know if others have this problem, but for me, the portal page becomes a horrendous memory hog, when left open for a long time. I like to keep it open at all times, since I do a lot of meetings and use it to see who's online, but this latest update has made it even worse. At times, it's even crashed my system by using up all available memory while I wasn't paying attention. Closing the tab usually frees up 1-1.5GB of RAM.
The easy solution, which I've had to resort to, is to close the page and reload it only when needed, but I'd love to see a text only version as another option.
Big oof update: It ran up to 2GB within an hour.
That's odd, thanks for the headsup. I'll look into fixing this.

In a world without the DM badge system, you'd probably not only still be waiting, but waiting for even longer yet. We try to get to people as we see them, but we aren't always available. I've found the DM badge system to be a profound aid in helping people. It's more efficient than it feels
Just keep the badge on and remain patient. You can ping the DM channel still, the badge is just an extra step you can take to increase your visibility.

What browser do you use? I switched to Firefox because Chrome absolutely eats my memory in general, not specifically for this though.

I use Chrome, and I'm aware of its proclivity for memory leaks, but even YouTube doesn't leak as bad as the portal page, and that's really saying something.
