Some changes have been reverted in order to push hak content live.

Does that mean the 'coming relatively soon' ETA is gone, or that it was just a convenience thing?

When will we be getting an updated list of changes coming to the Hexblade, if they are not the same as what was advertised a month ago?

Having some documented changes or overall list of what is currently the case would be great. At the moment it's really confusing. e.g. No one mentioned that changes were reverted, so people thought it was bugged.

DISCLAIMER i'm not the person doing this and this is just guesses based on what's been said in the thread + the actual update post
New Spells
1: Shield, negative energy ray
2: silence
3: Negative energy burst
4: Shadow conjuration, haste

-Change the base hex effect to -AC
-PreEpic Bonus Feats: 5, 10, 15, 20
-Epic Bonus Feats: 23, 26, 29
-Hex and Curse Weapon moved to level 2

-All hex abilities will scale at 1 (3% if percentage based) per 5 hexblade levels (minimum 1) unless noted otherwise
-All damage except curse of sacrifice (magical) will be a damage increase effect that now works with critical hits (flat 2 damage, unaffected by damage resistance or damage immunity/vulnerability). Hex of duality and hex of elemental decay will increase this damage by a flat +1 for each damage effect in addition to their normal effect of damage vulnerability.
-Removed the pure class DI
-Added a new curse which grants DI (curse of life)
-Change curse of neglect to do physical vulnerability (previously AC), min level 23
-remove level requirement from curse of sacrifice
-1 more max spell known and spell/day for each spell level
-Change curse weapon to last 5 turns. Cooldown 2 turns
-Hex cooldown lowered to 2 turns
-Prevent hex debuffs from being removed by lesser restoration. Hex will still be removed by restoration
-Maledictum of Worms removed from selectable feat list. It will be available from a FOIG location for PCs with at least 25 levels in hexblade. This is not yet implemented, and will be added and announced in a separate update.
ALTERATIONS TO THIS:
-Curse weapon will be 24 hours again
-Looking at the damage numbers again and potentially making some adjustments
-Maaaybe making curse of blood free. I'm still on the fence about this one.
SPECULATION: Some ability to dual wield cursed weapons

Just a random thought, it would be cool if hex damage benefited from 2 handing like divine might does (1.5 x damage). Would make a 2 handing strength based hexblade an alternative to the inevitable dex hex/monk quarterstaff builds.

I've been using acid curse on them for a while, I feel like, and I could swear it works. That said, that might change when the update hits.

That said, is it possible to eat least put the rework version back to the PGCC so it can be messed with again?

Sorry dude. I went from barely working due to covid to working full time and doing school full time so I've been extremely busy. I was hoping to have it out a long time ago, but I just haven't had time to finish it.

The rework was taken off of PGCC unti l can finish it because it was preventing other devs from updating haks on live.

Hey! No worries, no pressure, RL stuff is more important, it was more a curiosity thing. Not being able to mess around with it won't kill me.

Found it three pages down. god...

Anyway, I just releveled my HB back to lvl 9th and I only get +1 enchantment bonus now. Is that intended? It used to work at 1 + 1/7lvls and I was getting the +2 at lvl 7th.

The curse seems to show as damage properties in the character sheet, which is nice, and they stack with essences of the same damage type so that's good and it definitely shows the combat log some mercy. I'm very glad for this change.

Ench bonus is level/5 now. At 10 you'll get +2.

Ok thanks.

Also, worth mentioning that curse doesnt stack with temp essences anymore. Honestly I dont remember if it did before the update but now it doesnt.

I'm just posting so I remember where to start reading. Sorry it took so long and I hope everyone enjoys!

One thing I am looking at changing is making the hex a 30 second duration and 30 second cooldown. That way losing it from someone using restoration isn't as painful.

Also, I am aware the new descriptions didn't make it in. That will be fixed soon.

It doesn't stack at all, or it only stacks with the same damage type? Damage type would be expected but not stacking at all. I'll have to poke Zaphiel about that one as it involves his new onhit / temp property library and I may have implemented it wrong.

What I meant is that it stacks with the same damage type for permanent essence. So if I have a +4 possitive essence on my weapon and curse of hypocrisy the sheet shows +4 and +2 and the damage in the log shows +6 so it's all good.

Earlier when I wrote temporary essences dont stack with curse I meant the essence completely replaced the on-hit property but left the enchantment bonus on the weapon. Now, however, I tested again after lvling to lvl 10th hexblade (and indeed I now get the +2 enchantment) and temporary essences seem to stack with every damage type I should have. Curse needs to be applied first tho. I can only assume they would also stack if it's the same damage type (didnt check) but that's only because it's an on-hit property.

Curious- does a level 30 hex get +6 enhancement from curse?

I don't suppose we can get something interesting like Magic vestment added to the 3rd tier spells?

Right now there is actually nothing I would cast in there. Realistically its a melee class and I'm not going to be shooting any spells, as anything with a DC would just be resisted.

Testing on the PGCC and it doesn't look like the additional +1 spells known per level went through at all. Not sure about casts per day but its the same 4, 4, 3, 3 it was with spells before.

Is Curse of Draining still a thing?

It is on PGCC, not mentioned in notes, not mentioned in Wiki.
