Well.

I think a drow settlement could work. blocks ears from the booing with a grin

Unless im misunderstanding this, there was Udos a drow city and there was no where else. We now have Andunor which is massive and diverse, an exciting Goblin Town in the pipeline. I think if it wasn't overly large this would be welcomed by a lot of drow players.

However im more in favour of expanding the Devils Table, ive run and helped run the table. Had numerous drow factions ive been a apart of and even run myself. The problem we have is once the inevitable drow group comes in thats pvp centric. we lose the district and then are hunted into oblivion. This for me is normality. Im fine with it. Ive learned this is the drow way of life if your lolthite. We roll and move on. However giving the drow someplace else in the UD to retreat too would be fantastic.

I know this isn't a popular response to such a question of drow expanision but I felt I had to put my own point out there if only to counteract the overwhelming negative response to such an idea.

You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about and sound a little crazy. And by a little, I don't mean little at all.

So, unless you think so little of people who had ancestors that struggled through these times that they are going to melt at the word segregation

You mean people like my mother and my father. South Africans reclaimed their citizenship in 1996. Trevor Noah as an example a mixed race south African born in the 1980s (makes him mid 40s) was not legally allowed to be born. His mother pretended to be his nanny to avoid being arrested. Let's look at US history. Brown vs the Board of Education occurred in 1954 which allowed people of color to enter those all-white people schools. Vice President Khamla Harris has gone on record showing how she was one of those children.

No it is you who dishonor my mother, father, uncles, cousins, and myself with my history when you equate. Lets give Drow an area to role play in with. You are advocating for segregation, lol.

Research, improve, and see what areas of the world still are impacted with segregation. Then you can try to attack the idea that Drow RPers can have their own little Drow area to RP just as Irongon mentioned for the Goblins. Or the Half-Orc camp where one must be able to be a Half-Orc to sign the lease. There is also the Arcane Tower were only certain classes may be members there. On the Surface monsters are not allowed into the cities (a reversal of the original policy) exceptions being Sib and Sencliff which allows limited monster interaction. My surface Kobold (Cordor start no less) was one of the people who asked if we could have a home elsewhere. Working towards that and it was denied.

If the population is spread thin than the problem is the hub areas are doing nothing to want to keep the people, there. Some of this is, it takes people to get people. What will not keep people in an area is denying them the fun RP elsewhere. My Kobold encountered the I hate Kobold leader of the guards. He kept it fun. I did not mind the RP.

Other areas don't do this with their policies. If it is restrictive or I cannot create the RP I want I am not going to bother. If I can work to build up RP in an area and get kicked out, I will not try. Ultimately, I am here to tell a shared story, but one includes a few goals for my character. Settlements which allow that find people putting in the effort. One thing I do hear over and over from many characters ICly they are looking to be able to do things. Being the extra in the scene does not count. Sitting back and just listening to characters talk about their grand adventurers is not on anyone's high priority list.

Well, this quickly devolved into something that’s not meant to be discussed here.

Sorry folks that behaved. Others will be warned.
