The Patron forum area is somewhat unused lately, as is the 'Community' area of the Patreon page (I admit I rarely check it). I think this is part of a broader trend with the community moving on to Discord.

Call me old fashioned but I do like the formality and permanence of the forums, so it would be pleasant to see them active again..



On a broader note, I really am very grateful for our patron support, it has allowed me to do a great deal that otherwise would have not been possible, from the Load Screens, to hardware upgrades and of course the upcoming professionally commisioned new NWN tilesets, which will very much feel like a full update to NWN (Details of that in Patron channel).

Overall though, there are two main reasons why I don't mention patrons publicly too often. First, is that I don't want want any player to feel obliged to pay, or guilty because they do not - I have always maintained that the single best contribution anyone can make to this community is to simply be a part of it, and help bring the world of Arelith alive. The second is that, as players, it should be made absolutely clear that those supporting us get no preferential treatment in-game, or any in-game benefits. While Arelith can certainly incur costs, it is our anti-commercial aspect that I believe is a key element why the Arelith experience is such a breath of fresh air in a RPG gaming market saturated with expensive content.

Oh, and on the subject of commissioned art, I just added another of our load sceens as a wallpaper on the Patreon Page!
