You could have someone macro a single thing that fires off every 6 minutes trying to game the system. AXP isn't worth it, but if online activity was tied to rewards it might be for some people. That could indirectly affect people either through their inactivity or could cause a coding change that would make things annoying to the non-guilty.

To me any new system should have somewhere in the top few priorities: "Is the likely method people will use to game the system detrimental to others?" It's kind of an offshoot of "Does this reward the desired behavior?" but they're not quite the same thing.

Excessive farming of that would easily be noticed by the DMs.

The time DMs spend being server police is time they're not getting to spend elsewhere doing quests or helping people. It can also be emotionally draining as people tend to believe they have a justification and post punishment will proceed to complain to their friends with a one-sided story. Nor is there a clean split between "flawless players" and "toxic wastes of space", most are going to fall somewhere in-between and shift a few degrees one way or the other depending upon circumstances.

I think a system that requires less oversight by the DMs would be in a better spot than one that does, the pseudo-AFK element was one of many potential things in that category. Apologies for hogging the thread.
