Where u at bro? (Alejandro kudos and farewell!)

My longest lived and memory-filled character up to this point. Alejandro, the blue dragon servant of (Up until recent times) Lendys is now finally saying goodbye to Arelith. It is on him that I met so many people, learned just how amazing this roleplay community is and learned to FINALLY look past my own ooc nonesense and force myself to rp with people who I had up to this point avoided due to thinking or hearing things out side of the game. And I couldn't be happier I bit that bullet (Will not be naming the specific people as that would just cause drama, but you likely know who you are!) For the most part, the people in this thread wont be mentioned in any particular order, though the people I give a "Write up" of are obviously those who Alejandro interacted with the most or who had the biggest impact on both his story and me oocly as a person.

Achuak'iejir Stormwind
The character who inspired the creation of Alejandro, the character who was there in those initial weeks when I was trying to think of 'who' he was, rather than just 'what'. I'm relatively sure that if Achuak'iejir wasn't there at the specific time for her 'and' he, that Alejandro would have simply just ended up as a generic blue dragon character. As things developed, as Achuak'iejir climbed back into her position of power and Alejandro started leaning towards being too 'good', she became a way for me to pull him back into a more neutral stance. I can't thank the player enough for every interaction or praise them enough for every scene I've ever seen them in.

Tyreal Lyonsbane
His confidant. His equal. His brother. Tyreal is one of the two beings I interacted with on Alejandro that made me break his mold and play him 'better'. This old Archpriest of Tiamat really did not give a single damn about Alejandro, Alejandro's preferences or Alejandro being a dragon. They stood side by side. They kicked Snuggybear. They got their asses kicked. They gossiped drow dying their butt hairs pink. It was.. Just amazing. I feel like this thread doesn't do the interactions between Tyreal and Alejandro justice: I can't describe the feeling I got between them in words.
Kudos and may you live forever you glorious jerk hole.

Alphellius
How could I speak about 'brothers' without mentioning Alphellius? The 2nd of the two characters who created a massive leap in Alejandro's roleplay. The period where Tyreal went away, I took a break from Arelith itself and then finally let Alphellius drift into the blue's story was the transitional period where I stopped feeling I was playing a young, hotblooded dragon out to carve his place in the world and where I started feeling as though I was playing an ancient being reminiscing on days past (Even though he technically existed much shorter of a time than even some currently existing human characters  ). The brotherly kinship between these two characters, the way their ideology bounced off of one another.. The absolute quality of Susitsu's (The player of Alphellius) roleplay and ability to seperate the ooc from the IC (Something severely lacking in many people. Including me!) has created more emotionally charged scenes than I have experienced in all my time roleplaying. As well as the single most largely invested scene I have ever experienced-I actually cried. Haaaard. (I suspect the player may know what scene I'm speaking of!)

Estar Brightlance
The character that allowed Alejandro to prove himself. Played by the player who got me out of my shell so as to stop conforming to what I thought everyone else wanted. Estar was to Alejandro's patient and 'good' side as Achuak'iejir was to his crueler nature. The magnet, the catalyst and, for the longest time: Alejandro's muse. The doings of Estar lead Alejandro down many routes I never would have considered on my own. Some of my best times on my character were during the period of working for Guldorand, as an example, and Alejandro never would have stepped foot into the logging town if Estar has not drove him there first. I think this was a young gold dragon roleplayed amazingly well. Again-So much emotional charge in such a short time.

Zankas Joysword
Zankas was an amusing and interesting character to interact for me oocly as well as Alejandro ICly. Favors owed and promises made lead me to go down a more aggressive route at times, yet Zankas' personality (As well as situation) lead me to want to use a more unique and gentle touch in their interactions. The only unforunate part to all of this is that the character and player of Zankas never got to see the changes he brought about on Alejandro when he 'wasn't present'. I wont go into detail on it-But you're awesome, and I hope we get to keep roleplaying together eventually.

(??? The female Harper who had a name change!)
I.. Don't recall your characters original name and IF you're still playing I don't want to spoil the new name, so I wont mention it here. I apologize for that-But very early on in Alejandro's time it was your character that allowed Alejandro to start forming connections all over the island. The pearl she gave to him as a gift remained in the same inventory space until the very day I rolled him, and seeing it always plastered a smile on my face. The memories of them arguing about the 'justice' of banning all of a particular species from all cities. The best way to go about dealing with the drow causing problems for the surface while being 'his' friends. All of it-There's really too much to list! I just wish we could have role-played together longer before her disappearance.

Zestra Fuma'Vhid
For the first half of his story, Alejandro's greatest nemesis. For the second half, one of his closest (Even if not particularly trusted!) allies and friends. What you lack in raw emoting skill you make up for in an astoundingly deep and complex character who can't help but feel real and alive, perhaps more so than any other on this list. I don't get to interact with many of your characters as often as I did Zestra, and I find it unfortunate because I would LOVE to see all the details and makeup behind who they are. Sometimes.. Or rather USUALLY, this is more important than someone who can pump out 10000 words a minute. I honestly wish I could do what you do when you put your mind to it.

Rannos Susidian
Duh? IS there a more human character on Arelith? He displays fear, shock, anger, pride, compassion, cruelty, zest and zeal. He displays them well. Unfortunately the two characters were not able to interact as much as I would have liked.. What with Rannos almost always being compadre to the factions Alejandro's 'crew' were up against. But in the few interactions they had, I on an ooc level felt Rannos had a very 'real' presence. Keep at it my dude.

Asb'el Dore (I CAN'T DO THE FUNNY E SHUSH)
The player of this character inspired me to give Arelith as well as Alejandro one last go. Asb'el met and saw the culmination of what everybody else above and below on this list put together in my head. What they created. Asb'el broke a fundamental part of Alejandro's character away, and I loved it. He entered a third stage. He became something new. Their last interaction was.. Sadly not as fulfilling as the rest of their story together-But all of it put together was worth it. Above all else, Asb'el created the closure I needed to finally feel as though Alejandro's story wasn't stale-It was just over.

Stath Stouthelm the First
Stath's helm will always be Alejandro's first lover. That is all.

PEOPLE THAT HAD AN IMPACT BUT I REALLY DON'T HAVE ANYTHING TO SAY TO BESIDES, "YOU'RE AWESOME KEEP IT UP"

Kynos
Thorn
Buppi
Adalbrandt
Kain
Kalika
Roland
Khavaros
Ann
Storm Harthglen
Khabul
Stellan Varg (Holy crap we should have played so much more :/)
Six
Sinithra
Evelyne
Memmorath Mer'sham
Kaissar, the dragon licker
...
And more names. I've forgotten the names of most of the people from Alejandro's early times-And I do really regret it, as I remember interactions, I even remember what the characters looked and acted like. But the names? Nada. So, sooo sorry.)

Thank you all so, so much for the 'amazing' journey you've put me through. Zehshyrr'kalikstraza signing out, off to find a certain someone in the world. :D

Let's be real, here: Stath's helm took many a character for a magical first night.

You never did answer that all important question.
Has he ever chased his tail?

Dareth thou forget of Kaissar, he who corrupted thine blue with thoughts of depravity and certainly misplaced licks?

I wish I had some of the screenies I took, but the wind (disc formatting) blew them off. I probably had something that could compete with the one above.

I hope I can make Alejandro justice by saying:

Interaction with this character, albeit (sadly!) limited, resulted in a massive domino effect for Asb'el, which matured over time but wound up producing an almost 360 degrees spin on her concept. Alejandro has been, hands down, THE bringer of a spark of light in the deepest depths of the underdark, despite being a hot-tempered chromatic with a knack for chopping up people. But most of all, I'm happy to see Solitaire around again. Shine on, you crazy diamond.

Storm will be sad and/or pissed. He might've been evil, or not, but she respected him, and that says a bit, coming from her.

Tyreal agrees with what was said. Alej was Ty's homeboi and now they can kick Snuggybear again

Alejandro was at the same time Sinithra's most irritating nemesis and most respected enemy. I enjoyed our little conflict between the two with the dragon war, and how we threw the others for a loop with the white peace that ended it. He taught me, as a player, a bit about the temperment of dragons, and as the only dragon my PCs ever met that mattered, Well played.

I could never find a theme for Alphellius. The final events then were what gave me closure on the character finally. Something I'd waited a very, very long time for. I spent hours at work trying to think of a song to post here even.

But none could do them justice. Not many memories of roleplay can or will ever compare to those two.

It took a long time for me to figure out what to write.

Blue was part of the happiest moments of Estars life. Through two big wars and more, he was always there at her side for many a long time.

He taught her so many things about mercy...both its benefits and its weakness's, and she'll always carry that with her, even though now he is gone.

He brought her great joy, and great sadness when he left her. She grows bitter and distant with the void he left in her. Another turn in her long story.

She'll never be able to put him completely from her mind, dreams of the Blue who was once her lover forever with her, for better or worse.

Sounds about right. Alejandro skipping town after unloading his coven of kobold woshippers on Khab :P.

This got me playing again. Just this thread. It's amazing how something so small and sincere can make such a difference in attitude. It's a regret of mine that we didn't spend more time in RP with one another.

Regardless of opinions towards dragon characters, they were always terrifying and awe-inspiring. Alejandro had a very big shadow, and his presence was more than just what it seemed. He commanded respect, even among those who doubted him. Rannos was always wary of him, but nevertheless welcomed his presence. He was a fantastically roleplayed character, worthy of the neutral alignment. Alejandro always seemed to have good intentions, but walked the line with his methods, which over time, caused people to become more concerned about each choice he made - not because they viewed him as a threat, but because they had grown to care about the blue drake.

So, here's my kudos right back at you. Three cheers to the unsung protector, the one who watches from the dark.
