So every character can now ride horses? If so, how is it done in game? I hear you need 8 ranks in ride. After you get that, how do you get your avater on a horse?

You should have a ride ability in all of your class menus. You click on it then click on the horse.

Individual Mount is the specific action you're looking for. Then Individual Dismount when you're ready to get off. Probably worth mentioning that it seems to currently be bugged, where any character can ride a horse. Plus it is worth being careful if you're a totem druid or some other size-modified skin, likely source of another bug?

For some reason, despite the fact that I have more than sufficient ride skill (Base of 8 with a +2 modifier thanks to dexterity) I am still unable to ride a horse. At first, when I assigned the horse to me it would not let me mount it. No message telling my why or anything. And now, it won't even let me assign the mount to myself and just says that I need 8 skill to ride it... anyone else having similar problems?

Ride needs hard base points meaning literally 8 points in the skill not including modifiers, supposedly.

I've been having the same issue Meme Lord. 8 base ranks, modifiers up to 11, no workie.

Maybe your character just doesn't like horses

We've had a couple of crossed wired on the coding end and my fix was "fixed so that might have something to it memelord

So do the horses work?

At the moment I feel forced to say neigh.

I've not managed to check the code...in a field with my direwolf at the moment, but given the reports in guessing neigh and probably for the same reason as before.

Fixed for next reset.

Seems like same issue. 8 ranks in ride, can't ride a horse. It won't let me mount. I can assign it to myself or remove it, but can't get on the horse. At the time of this post the servers were both reset 1:20hr ago.

But you shouldn't get the message you would have gotten pre update - your issue is unfortunately a separate issue :/

I never got that message, but hey, looking forward to when this is fixed!

after some serious testing, ive noticed that Kensai seems to not coincide with Horses very well. I'd wager something to do with the movement speed immunity being buggy with the movement speed increase on Horses. Just shooting in the dark here, but the reason I say so is my Paladin Kensai can't mount (with the proper ride skill) however my paladin (withOUT proper ride skill) seems to ride just fine.

That might be it. My dude with the issues is Kensai also. I was thinking it might be an issue with PC Crreature Skin properties.

Also got a problem on my Kensai. Assign mount works normal. Individual Mount doesn't do anything.
