Farewell Arcane Tower!

Hello everyone, Manobi is done with the Arcane Tower for good. I have "many" reasons, but it mostly sums up to having a character doing the same thing for too long, my new job, and other IRL things getting in the way of running a faction. I simply don't have the energy for it anymore, but really, it has been so so satisfying.

I started Arelith about eight months ago on Manobi. Since then, I've been a part of the Tower - through there - I was able to become a part of the game and get so so so many wonderful experiences. The people I've "met" through the keyboard? Some of the greatest people I've ever seen in any online gaming community and it's been an honor serving so many of you virtually IG. Really, you are all so wonderful. *throws petals of roses*

While Manobi isn't kill, this is the start of him not being around at all soon enough. I need to get back to college and finish my degree, and a large part of that is making up for the past year and a half that I've been stagnant and trying to deal with some pretty serious situations. Arelith has been there for me during some pretty rough times - and the Arcane Tower is a large part of that. So, thanks to everyone in this game for uh. . . giving me something to do. With my new job I'm getting a new keyboard (because keeping my 1950s upright piano tuned is impossible) four or five books of composition paper, a slew of scores to study, and getting everything back together over here.

Anyway, Kudos list to everyone who has been a part of the Tower. A list? I'm going to attempt - but I imagine I'm going to forget at least a dozen names that deserve it - and I already feel bad about that. I'm horrid with name spelling - and even worse at remembering last names. So, if I don't have your last name and/or misspelled something, apologize in advance.

Alphabetical order.

Sad to see him go. We had a lot of fun. He got to see Ama's good side, crazy side, and not so good side :D.

Manobi has been a pleasure to have in the tower, and I look foreward to every meeting that she can have with him in the future.

P.S. You work that dress. Whenever you can.

B-but...Manobi! Him being gone will reduce the chance of Lily getting yoinked into public places in compromising states!

Manobi's constant frustration with all the things that seem to happen to him was a constant source of entertainment, as was both his kidness and the sense that perhaps not everything was quite right upstairs. He was always surprisingly lighthearted, and kept otherwise dire and dismal situations pleasant.

Hopefully he'll say goodbye to the pushy commander before he leaves for good. :)

Fixed! (Really, I'm gonna so fireball you next time I see you. Quitting without notice, and forgetting Angela's name on that list?)

Wouldn't be right if I didn't pick on you. Come back to us when you have the time, I'll probably still be here.

I could have sworn I added that. *cough cough cough* Yes, huge kudos to you. I suppose I got caught up with all the A names that I just assumed I put you in the list.

There, I fixed it.

But yes, Manobi will still visit from time to time. And he'll come and see Lily before he leaves as well. . . Whenever I officially leave, I'll make sure to let everyone know. Until then, you'll still see him wondering around trying to put his final plan together.

Yes, I didn't mean to give anyone the impression that I'm leaving for good just yet. There are still things to do and some stories need closure. I'm just saying farewell to the Tower (the list is only Tower people if anyone felt left out)

I won't be online as much from here on out is another thing.

Really though?! Terry is coming back and Manobi is leaving the Tower?

Forgive me for what? Leaving the Tower or forgetting you on the first list?

;)

First time I met Manobi Van Aelios in the skin of my rolled Morkhav Wolfgheist, I liked this magizian because he seemed the epitome of clueless magician who has too many things on his mind like to focuss on some of the most simple questions

Now, I like double that character (and big kudos to his player) because after meet him with my monk Aeon, I found in this character a depth similar to those of the layers of an onion and saw a magician up to his eyebrows into an adventure that involves all levels you may expect from a good role player and even more.

It is not about what one finds in the appearance of the lake, but what you can fish after hours and hours fishing patiently until the largest salmon mince our bait ... Similarly, patiently discover what seethes inside Manobi and his plot is superb.

I am loving the simplicity and complexity I found on Manobi and how that makes him more immersive as luring others into the seeds of Arelith.

Hooray!
