Feedback on level capping the writ system.

Okay, so this just occurred and it saw very distressing to have happen. I wound up in the same area as another player who was clearing the Bullywugs, so of course assuming he was the same level or close as me, we partied mid fight and started clearing, wasn't till later we realized he was over leveled for me. This actually is doing more damage then helping, please remove this cap. Its actually deterring me from wanting to party with anyone without metagaming the information of levels which is in itself ridicules as my character ICly would have stayed with and cleared it with him, but because OOCly he was hurting my writ, we had to part ways. Please fix this?

The forum moderators have instructed the community cease discussion of this topic, if I recall, as it was becoming unproductive.
I suggest you take further feedback to the Admin team directly.

Didn't see that post, would still love a DMs response to this, because it kinda goes against the no metagaming rule? Yet were forced to metagame because of mechanics?

We're also apparently forbidden from discussing any topic that happens to have had a Suggestion Box topci made about it within an indeterminate amount of time, so pardon me if I don't take it totally seriously. The forum doesn't lose by letting players discuss things in civil, thoughtful feedback topics.

Please don't start fighting on here, this is why they lock the threads. Please keep it on track directly with either suggestions for improvements, or comments closer to my own.

At low to mid levels it not so bad. For me it becomes a huge issue with the higher level writs taking you to really dangerous places that are either farmed a lot by high levels (orc lands, Auril temple for instance). Auril temple is common to see level 30's go there for treasure and ore. Some places like the Earl's manor it's tough enough finding epics wanting to go there let alone trying to find a lvl 18 -23 wanting to visit there. Higher level help should at least be allowed if you are going to places you are likely to find epics or someplace like the orc fortress where the end boss can wipe unprepared lvl 30's (let alone max lvl 23's),. That writ imo is way to tough for most lvl 23 and below. So at low to mid levels its not a big issue, but should be relooked at for the higher writs.
Also makes you have to either rp trying to find out someone's level or asking them in a tell.

The Bullywugs is a level 5-10 writ, and I had to leave the party even though ICly I would have stayed with him, so, I am voicing against anything that forces OOC play over IC play.

Last topic was locked, not opening the can of worms this soon. If you have direct feedback, contact the DM team. There was plenty of feedback on both sides in the last thread. Thank you for your understanding.
