Eirik's Last Kudos

When I created Eirik exactly one year ago, February 10th, I had no idea what was ahead of me. He was supposed to be a simple character, a simple Kensai Barbarian that I really, really wanted to tried out, with an equally simple bare bones backstory. He grew to something much bigger than I had expected and planned, and through him I have learned many valuable lessons.

I had the pleasure of meeting a lot of awesome people during this time, and here I mention most of them. I have likely forgotten many. Sorry, my memory is weak!

Igogh - A deep and complex character played by an awesome and blessed person who managed to endure me for so long lol. I really enjoyed the story our characters built and told, and how well and naturally it progressed in the last few months. Also, I found something.

Falgrim Vintergard - One of Eirik's greatest friends, but life made them both too busy to do anything other than plotting in the war room of Brogendenstein or discussing whatever apocalypse currently raged on Arelith. An inclusive character and player.

Ghestaldt Blimth - Thank you for giving us a chance at building something different with Darrowdeep. Also sorry for bringing Warlocks into it at some point, which prompted the Unseelie to assault the castle and the surrounding lands; just Rausabrak things.

Demetrius, Rodfer and Furin, Urist, Snagread, Singrun, Kimli, Dalola, Gotriik, Turak, Aila, Khregen, Bardin, Philburt, Gorudan, Bromgrim, Naly, Friggja, Greydda, Edonia and all the Dwarves of Brogendenstein - You're many and I'm sorry if I forgot someone! I'm sure I did and I'll feel bad later, but kudos to you all. Together you make and made Brogendenstein come to life as one of the coolest settlements in Arelith.

Meriam Fuzzypaw - At times a cute and small Halfling, and at others an enraged nine foot tall Monolithic Elemental of Fire, but always a great friend. She gave Eirik and Igogh a priceless gift, one which they won't ever forget. Enjoy the house!

Saelynn Nuéleth - From a young druid looking for a home and a place to be, to the lady of a chivalric castle. Saelynn is no doubt one of the best crafted characters in the server, someone who strives to make sure everyone around her is having their round of fun.

Juris Irilcofmaaw - Often doing a great job at being the comic relief, Juris was a vital part of Darrowdeep, always making sure the faction worked and kept moving forward. Product of a veteran roleplayer, Juris is one of those characters you won't ever forget.

Taestra Rinn - One of the few people Eirik felt comfortable enough to share his problems and thoughts. A shame time became scarce in the end, but I hope to see you back soon again.

Anuia Holinth - After everything and then that last letter... fictional character aren't supposed to give us dem feels like that, you know!

Rannos Susidian - Our characters met quite recently, but we had time to do a few cool things together. Eirik wishes him luck in his quest, it's a far from easy one!

Ghestelle Snow Veirmont - The character that first lead Darrowdeep into the faction it is today. I'll miss how often we used to get into trouble and always managed to return unscathed from it, until that one day when FOIG happened lol.

Gallien Paladis- Like Peter and Cayd, Eirik and Gallien had their fair share of adventures. At this rate, perhaps our new characters will unknowingly meet again to stir some trouble up somewhere else. In any case, kudos to you, Gallien was one of the best paladins in Arelith.

Shadow - A gardener who also happens to be a master of stealth; he could spend days telling you all that you want to know about the Ghostwise Halflings. This daredevil is one of my favorite characters.

Vicko Tannel- A new face in Darrowdeep and the server, whom already left his mark. You're great, man, I'm sure you'll cause and be on the center of a lot of trouble, I know.

Sylrie Aelorothi/Afya/Ysolda - I still haven't met your Gnom-- your Dwarf properly, a shame, but Sylrie and Afya were so cool. Your Hellballing-addicted paladin will live forever in my heart.

Harvey - I think "cool dude" explains very well what Harvey, the Knightster of Darrowdeep, is, in my opinion. For real, though, I'll miss him, great dude.

Ragnar T Stonebeard/Turana Ironhelm - For someone like me who likes reading stuff and stories about things that happened ages ago in the server, being able to sit down, now and then, to listen to most of Brogendenstein's history was something quite nice. Thanks for being around for so long.

Hilde Ragnarrsdottir - A master of sorts, perhaps? The First Axe Hilde taught Eirik how to Barb WM, and gave him a ton of responsibilities before sailing away, thanks for that lol.

Mudagog - Homão da porra, simple as that. If there's something I regret, is not having roleplayed more with this prime example of an honorable warrior. Wherever Mudagog is, he is certainly kicking Snuggybear.

Kalendis - One of the first characters Eirik met. She gave him, a simple adventurer, a purpose in life, something to strive for.

Minuvae Evanara - I'm only going to leave this: :(

Yeto - A character that I'm sad I didn't get to roleplay with as much as I wanted, sadly, but I've always seen him around, doing cool things. Thanks for the house lol!

Jadoth and Astra - What an incredible pair. Always enjoyed our interactions and the capacity you two had to get into trouble, specially Jadoth. You two are amazing.

Kalyin - Most of our encounters always ended in violence, but that one conversation our characters once had, that one shown me Kalyin was Drow quite different from his kin. A well crafted Druid of the Underdark.

Jhaamdath Xun'viir - You never brought the wine!

Ezekiel, Derristan, Laura, Aligonda, Sam, the Housecarls, the Shields, and the rest of Guldorand - The town where Eirik first found his home. I have nothing but good memories of this place, and the good people that make it be the hub of cool RP that it is. Kudos to you all.

Ludwig Malathew, Bria Traeger, Wade Vexx, and the Shadow Troupe - Too bad the business never went forward, but it was a very fun time. Ludwig taking his pants off in the middle of the Arcane Tower and Bria chasing him away with a huge wooden stick was the best moment in Arelith's history.

Prism and friends - When Eirik first met Prism, I could swear it was an assassination attempt, but no, it was the start of a partnership and an odd friendship. I highly enjoyed the few adventures we had outside our meetings; you're all great and a pleasure to roleplay with.

Alice and the Rosen Sky Privateering Company - I'll always remember fondly the time we spent exploring the sea as privateers and our misadventures at it.

All the Knights and Meisters of Darrowdeep - You are just way, way too many to count! Many people passed through Darrowdeep, some for a short time, others for a long time. What matters is that all of you left their mark, and together, I believe, we built something really cool.

And finally, a special kudos to the DMs GrumpyCat and Titania. Sorry for bothering you too much! You're both great.

A real pleasure spending so much time with Eirik. He played a pivotal part of Brogendenstein for the last few IG years, and a stability to Darrowdeep that provided a foundation for some fantastic RP.

Oh geez, How to put into words what Eirik meant to my Meriam

Watching him grow from that young Barbarian into a Warrior-Lord worthy of legend has been an absolute treat, always chock to the brim with excellent RP and many hilarious moments. And many heartfelt ones as well!

From helping him out with Girl-Troubles and having him almost in tears back near the beginning, To....Well those problems never really stopped for him did they? :D

The player behind Eirik is a wonderful person, And the character and life he breathed into the factions around him will be sorely missed.

Axes High, Vigilance and Grassy-Steps you Dragonriding Legend. We'll see eachother in Valhalla someday.

Arion's favourite plotting partner. Besides her own husband, of course!

I always wondered if he really thought he was doing the right thing, or if that was just what the knights in his books were supposed to do?

I really wish I had had more chance to spend time with Eirik and Igogh too. Every time we ran into eachother we were tracking down some bad guy or getting into some fight with someone. I hope to get to RP with you again sometime!

Plenty of plants and animals to tend near the castle and keeping the horses fed properly, until those pesky drow stick their noses out of the cave and the chase is on

Shadow is very proud of his heritage and teaching the old ways of his clan, and Eirik just had to call to see what tracks went were.

Great fun and look forward to your next toon

Holy hell what a run for a year. I am amazed at all you were able to keep in the air. Such a good character and such good interactions.

I have to say, I made Vicko as a test character for the server, he was supposed to last a couple of weeks and see how things worked here and I was going to make a proper character with an actual build in mind and more than a four sentence backstory. After joining DD things sorta just kept rolling and I just can't give him up.. a lot to do with what Eirik did for him and the trust he put in him.

Thanks for some really great times and involving me in tons of things. As someone new to a server, it takes 2 or 3 good players/characters to make you committed to sticking around. Eirik (and Igogh) were a big part of me not giving up on the server and character.

10/10 would follow you only to get captured by pirates all over again.

I'm glad Astra was memorable too you~ She really did enjoy Eirik and Igogh's company, one the few friends she had left on the island, but, she'll remember them dearly.

My single recent regret is that Madeline Clavelle could not spend more time with monsier Eireek.

He was neat.

Elina met Eirik early on - and of course started off at odds (that certain necromancer-encounter was really, really fun and intense). Eirik was one of the few Elina treated with (for her) respect and was the sole reason for her to actually join a faction if only for a time (stupid time-zones). Eirik having to sort things with the dwarves whenever she made a scene was epic fun.

Sometimes things just fall into place, and it did with Eirik and Saelynn. Thanks for giving me a reason and a peer group, when all I wanted was a thematic character I'd play for a few months. Damn you.

There's so much to say about Eirik - In the end I just really want you to know that I had a great time, and I'm actually saddened he's gone. There's a lot I was looking forward to with him, and it was great to have someone to unconditionally accept and support Saelynn.

Thanks for all the sacrifices you made playing a faction leader, thanks for all the effort you put in.

Also sorry I missed your sendoff. :/
