Writs referring the derro UD-Agency

I hope this hastn been posted already. After asking a DM (Thx Atropos) he suggested me to post it on the forums.


Description

Writs:
  • Cull the Derro
    Norragh (Something)
The main problem of both writs is, it is impossible to finish them because the "named" mobs do not spawn. I can not recall the names but usally it's the "Endboss" mobs (you have only to kill one of them). So i have been there three times already and could not finish this writs because they did not spawn. I cleared the whole area with my group with no success.


Steps to reproduce
Just start the writ as usual go to the areas slash monsters

Expected result
Ending the Writ by killing the mobs. Getting honor gold and xp.

Actual result
Finishing not possible because the "Boss" mobs do not show up

Notes/Comments

Next thing: it might sound like a sort of suggestion or feedback but it is not. It is just strange that the maze (below the granite pit) is going to be such a pain. It is not possible to make it while rp'ing because the debuffs are so frequently you can not even start to discuss in a group because always someone goes down by paralyze and so on. I just wanted to let you know this writ is with lvl 7 no fun (not for me and not for the 2 grps i have been there). Maybe the debuffs shall be so frequently maybe not. I am going to avoid this two writs because they are just a waste of time to play them with some rp.

Second this.. Couldn't find a boss for either writ on multiple visits.

I'm also in agreement with the area being a pain. A well trapped Derro area is a great concept but the sonic traps that daze you don't appear to be detectable on a rogue type with maxed search so the only defense is to memorize the pattern. Dazing once or twice is a nice gotcha but kind of gets old quickly even if you're not being attacked.

The Fungal Maze is amazing but that much poison is rough on lower level characters who might not be able to afford multiple cures, maybe it should be a higher level area? I know some of this is to encourage balanced parties tackling the writs but this is Anundor and that's not always easy to come by, especially for non-drow (or maybe humans.)

Do love the areas and the idea of a Derro town especially, just giving input for the sake of tweaking if it's at all helpful.

Okay so followup notation.

We were able to kill one of the "Lord Savant" mobs in the derro city, which is beneath the fungal grotto. However, the second writ, which requires you to kill the "High Savant" is ...

Somewhat difficult due to the door. I'm usually keen on these things, and the setting suggests that you should be able to drop gems in the offering bowl next to the door, to open the door. We tried multiple combinations of gems. We even dropped a rogue stone into the bowl. Door won't open. So either there's a key or something that we missed somewhere in the quest, or the mechanic is bugged/non operable.

We'll look into this, would be a great pity if getting into the final dungeon isn't possible for some people.

The dungeon is not bugged. Everything you need to solve the puzzle is within the dungeon -somewhere-.

Certain skills may be required.

The fungal maze should not be doing poison or debuffs. That was removed last week pending fixes to the script. If this is still happening please let us know so we can update the area again!

Also, all the traps were spottable and disarmable by the rogue I tested with. ;)
