Hello everyone! I was watching my paladin buddy smite a dracolich dead with his lays on hands and I thought... what if Bg's had that, only negative damage? Same calculation and rolls and given about the level they get inflict wounds.

Let's face it, Inflict wounds is only useful in very certain rp situations but a "Slap on hands" kind of skill could be a tide turner and a cookie to an otherwise underused class, giving them more reason to take more levels.

Now on a different topic... how possible is it to make spears a smaller sized weapon?

That would allow medium creatures to use them one handed and Hin/gnomes/insertyourunderdarkermidget here to use them as 2h weapons.

I personally love spears and the only issue right now is that they are outdamaged by EVERY single other 2h weapon.

Anyway, my cents are there.

You know I love you bro but BG is one of the more popular classes out there, and just got its summons buffed. I really don't think they need cookies right now.

Spears are the Simple two handed weapon. They are worse because they only need the Simple weapons feat.

Fair enough. ^^ Still like the entire "THIS IS SPARTA" spear+shield idea though.
