It's giving the confirmation message for temporary essence, too. From the wording above, I'm assuming that wasn't intended.

It also scared the crap out of me when I thought I'd used the wrong bottle.

It's currently impossible to switch between temporary essences.
Using one on a weapon that's already got a temporary damage property will just return another temp essence of the same type to the owner's inventory. I'm not sure if this is intended, but it may result in some PvE inconvenience when trolls are encountered unexpectedly. :D
