Here is a picture of the well as my character hopelessly attempts to drink from it.

This bug is not limited to that particular well, I've seen that happen at several other water sources, like the well out of the Arcane Tower, and the Fountain at the Hub. The animation triggers, but the water level doesn't go up.

I thought I had fixed this one at one point by lowering the placeable. It’s been set too high. I’ll look to fixing it once more.

If you move or spam click (or anything else) before the animation finishes you won't get water ticked up.

Click and wait.

(Of course if the animation isn't firing then you can't reach it to drink!)

The Sencliff well doesn't fire the animation at all. You just stand there doing absolutely nothing.
