Given as epic focus illusion is mostly an amusing RP tool already, granting the single useful ability it had (to send a message without needing a halfling NPC) to a consumable seems to render it even less competitive.
Is there a plan to alter how project image works given this change? A cooldown on messages? Making the henchman summon less terrible?

Yes.
Swift and to the point. Thank you.

Bear in mind that the wisp bottles cost a lot so we don't expect a drastic increase in those messages. When it comes to sending a message from anywhere, the best - and cheapest - option is still the epic illusion feat.

That is true but it would likewise be the case for GSF Transmute vs a lens. The monetary cost, whilst higher is still potentially less irksome than the additional rest meter.
Transmute foci also have the advantage of being good enough to be an auto-include in most builds already. I don't think Illusion foci are particularly over-competetive in the current meta.

We actually had a similar conversation with the other devs.

Small price to pay, these bottles are going to change a lot of things on the server! Folks would still probably buy them if you listed them for 100k each.

Absolutely love the addition. I have no problem with easier messaging it'll foster a ton of roleplay.
It just leaves illusion foci a little more lacklustre than it already was.
I await the plan. Not sure there's much else to discuss on this thread until it's revealed
