It's not the only map that was doing this, but also the Petrified Forest... I think the the update did something.

Also, there are patches of ground where the icon changes to the "unwalkable" mouse cursor for no reason. When you go there, your guy jumps to the sky like this.

Its a "feature" of the new cavern tileset and its curvaceous ceilings. Lower your camera angle and you should be fine. The tile set is gorgeous however!

*Edit. Why did you bother blacking out his name? 90% of the server knows who that is...and he kinda is that big.

Had a similar issue in the Orclands Breedmaster? Broodmaster?...cave.

The same is happening in the Kinstone Mine (Brogendenstein) and i believe I've narrowed it down to a specific tile.

It happens both to PCs and NPCs and can be reproduced at will (at least two NPCs will walk into this tile regularly) It doesn't matter if you are moving with "wasd" or clicking, either into the tile or somewhere where you have to cross the tile.

Steps to reproduce:
  • Enter the Kinstone mine
  • Go forward until the wheelbarrow is to your right
  • Face north (turn 90ยบ to the right)
  • Walk in the direction of the leftmost wheelbarrow that is in front
  • As soon as you walk into the tile between the wheelbarrows you'll stand on the cave ceiling (this can be seen moving the camera when and NPCs walks into the tile or with the help of another PC
  • As soon as you exit the tile, you'll move back to the floor
Aditional info:
  • No haks preloaded (userpatch.ini), no override present when reproducing the issue
  • I've tried walking into each and every tile in the Kinstone Mine and I haven't found any other tile where this happens
  • Before nwsync was applied, I was preloading all of Zwerkules' Facelift Haks (current version from the vault) and I don't think I've seen this happening.

I was slightly dismissive of this at first, because adjusting the camera angle and watching where I was walking allowed a work around, BUT, this is definitely a problem with huge areas of the server, basically anywhere with whatever the proper name is for the cavern tileset.

I like the look of the tile set, but it regularly forces not only you but also MOBs into inaccessible or sky high spaces. My most recent experience was in the Mound, where I couldn't see what I was fighting, only to find Dark Nagas on the ceiling. Creepy to say the least. Moreover, spawns were regularly to be found ontop of the low walls and on other inaccessible areas.

While it looks good, this tileset is buggy as all get out.

Same cavern ceiling walking bug; in the Formodian's area north of Buletus and Myclonids, the area of the Blood of the Red Pools writ area.

Don't have area specific names but 'that place'.

I understand the issue. The tiles have been fixed. As soon as a stable hak update can be sent live this issue will be resolved.

I will ask that it be put in the update announcement so you all can let me know if it persists.
