Arelith

My character Maladox Myt'tar and G'eldffyn Myt'tar were hunting and we noticed we aren't getting any XP for our kills. We are both level 17 and level 18.

We tried going to a new area, relogging, resting... Nothing it's working. Still not getting XP for any of our kills.

We watched our character sheets to make sure it wasn't just that the XP message wasn't popping up. We're also actually not getting XP for kills. We're still receiving adventuring XP however.

UPDATE: I am now getting XP again, after the server reset. Problem resolved.

Perhaps try adventuring in more difficult areas. It may be that the things you are killing are too far below the level of your characters to earn any non-adventure XP.

Nope. We don't get the Experience Points message whatsoever. Tried many areas, no message even pops up.

I portaled from C&P to Surface, killed one deer, got +1 XP message to pop up!

Went back to C&P, killed a troll, no xp message at all.

So, our characters are bugged on C&P only.

This is most likely due to a Wild Mage having warded us like an hour ago. Wild Mages tend to cause a lot of bugs...

Did you try toggling adventure xp mode off?

Did you download other servers haks and overrides that are conflicting with Arelith?

I was hunting in a group just fine, and then I was warded by a Wild Mage, and then my friend and I went hunting and neither of us were gathering XP or getting XP messages.

Still can't get XP.

As the other player who joined Rogue, I can offer a more detailed report of what we've done to try to relieve this issue.

1) Transition to another area: This did not work, unfortunately.

2) Fight different foes: We started with Minogons, then went up to the ice road trolls and wendigos. No xp was gained from either monster.

3) Rogue tried resting and removing wards from our kind helper ( a wild mage): This again did not relieve the issue

4) Rogue then tried to change servers via the portal network. This worked... as they were receiving xp from kills on Surface. But as soon as they returned to C&P, it failed to work.

5) Rogue then tried to change characters. The other character does not have issues collecting xp, so it seems to be affecting solely our characters.

It should also be noted that as stated, we do not have any game changing haks installed. We may have portrait packs, and I have the arelith changes haks installed... but they have not caused any issue until today. Once I have a moment, I'll test again after the reset to see if the issue has resolved itself.

I am now getting XP again after the server reset, so... Problem resolved!

No. That would have been one of the first things I check. I have been playing on Arelith for quite a long while, and I understand how the mechanics of the server work. We were 1000% bugged, but the server resetting fixed it.

My only guess is that it was due to a Wild Mage. Before being buffed by a wild mage, we were fine, after being buffed by the wild mage who surged a few times, we were bugged.
