As the title suggests, my greensteel shield (or any equipped shield) is not getting the -5% arcane spell failure reduction.

I've talked to several people now that say that spellsword ASF reduction applied to shields. Was this a quiet nerf or is it a bug?

This was never a thing. There is the open hand shield AC bonus, that may be what you are thinking. But I went back through the code and it never appeared.

I know about the open hand ac, but I and several others remember them getting ASF applied to shields as well.

This is incorrect. When I was leveling mine, both the armor and the shield got -5% asf. This was early last year, for frame of reference.

Please rest assured that the poster understands the difference between ASF and AC.

Every spellsword player I know has always been entirely confident that the ASF reduction worked on shields. If that is not the case presently, it is definitely a change.

I had tested this build on the pgcc just within the last month or two and it was fine using green steel armor and shield. Now it has 5% ASF because no reduction is on the shield.

Maybe the removal of the pending bard asf did something.

Alright, this has been an issue for three week. Found the error, fix is submitted.
