Give Disintegration more damage.

I really like disintegration thematically, but after toying with it a little I've come to feel it should deserve some more damage.
Flesh to Stone and Disintegration use same spell slots bu as it stands Flesh to Stone is quite a bit more useful spell as it doesn't demand ranged touch attack and disables the foe for the rest of the fight.
For a transmuter the tactical choise is to prepare Flesh to Stone instead of disintegration.
240 damage it can potentially inflict is substantial, but since it is 40d6 much of the time the damage is somewhere around 130, I found that around half of the time the damage wasn't enough to kill the basic Wharftown Boys bandits on a character with 26 wizard levels.
What I propose is to give Disintegration some ensured damage on failed fort save without needing to improve the top damage. For example 60 + 30d6 damage.
