Weapon changes does not affect already crafted weapon

Hello Arelith caster lovers 
(joke aside)
in the changes it states GA has become 3d4, but ingame it still says 1d12, is that supposed to be like that?
Or is it only for new crafted weapons... If so, whats the point in having old good weapons, if you have to start all over with a new, despite having large history with your current?
Doesn´t this just harm melee, EVEN more if existing weapons don´t get the change as well...
