Temporary Essences replacing breach scrolls

A possible solution for the current lack of certain consumables on mundane characters:

  • Wardbreaker Essence (Lesser):
    (Craftable by Alchemists, DC30. Ingredients: 2x Rock chunk (Mithril) and some other things. Yields 5 essences.)
    A sticky substance that can be applied to melee weapons and projectiles, causing the next three successful attacks to strip an enemy of up to two magical defenses, akin to a Lesser Spell Breach. If the charges are not used within 10 minutes, the essence will fade. Wardbreaker essences will override other temporary essences.
  • Wardbreaker Essence (Greater):
    (Craftable by Alchemists, DC40. Ingredients: 1x Rock chunk (Adamantine) and some other things. Yields 5 essences.)
    A sticky substance that can be applied to melee weapons and projectiles, causing the next three successful attacks to strip an enemy of up to two magical defenses, akin to a Lesser Spell Breach. Additionally, the target's Spell Resistance is reduced by 10 for 10 rounds. If the charges are not used within 10 minutes, the essence will fade. Wardbreaker essences will override other temporary essences.
  • Spellbane Essence:
    (Craftable by Alchemists, DC35. Ingredients: 2x Rock chunk (Arjale) and some other things. Yields 5 essences.)
    A sticky substance that can be applied to melee weapons only. When getting hit by a coated weapon, the target rolls a fortitude saving throw (DC 25) to avoid suffering a cumulative 20% spell failure chance for 5 rounds. Spellbane essences last for 10 minutes and will override other temporary essences.

I like the idea of these essences, but they could well be overpowered.

Approved for something along these lines (subject to further balance impact discussion)
