Writ Document Unable to be Deleted

I recently reached level 21 on a Kobold Sorcerer.

In the past, once you were that level, you could select a dialogue option by clicking the Writ object to "Abandon Writ" or somesuch, which would delete it from your inventory.

This is the window I get now, after patch, when I try to delete it.

When you say after patch, what do you mean by that?

By that I mean: When i leveled my Bard past level 20, i had no issues.

The most recent updated touched the Writ system in enabling captured Surfacers take writs in Andunor.

I made the assumption that said update might have changed the writ, as you were able to delete it before.

That is what I meant.

To provide further reference, said Bard of mine went past level 21 over 2 months ago, so it's something between that point of time and "now".

It's much older than the last update. It's been a thing at least since last summer that you couldn't offload writ papers

Yeah, I have an older character who can't get rid of her paper. But one I made a few months ago had the option.

I've heard that a server reset sometimes fixes the dialogue and lets people discard their writs.

My most recent character also couldn't immediately discard her writ, but after some time at level 21+ the dialogue suddenly worked.

Weird. I'll make sure to test after the next server reset and see if things change.

Does it have to do with needing them for courier writs now?

Unsure whether it was fixed, or whether server reset had something to do with it, but I was now able to [Discard Writ], so all good in terms of this bug.

I got that same issue. So the solution is, wait a couple of weeks, and discard might work again?

Yeah, I've the same issue on both my characters - Neither of them have been able to get rid of their writ for months at this point.
