I just finished making my masterly damask Wakisashi. It has a number of bugs the first being it is not possible to equip it in the main hand unless you equip it too offhand then remove mainhand weapon, two it will not accept the blade thirst spell "slashing weapon must be selected", third when trying to customize the look whilst in mainhand it gets unequipped to inventory.

Put a lot of work and money into blade. Look forward to hearing about bugfix.

1. As a shield weapon, Wakizashi can ONLY be equipped in the off-hand, that you could move it into your main hand is itself a bug, and likely caused some of these issues, specifically the reason it is unequipping when customising (as it is not supposed to be a main hand weapon.)

We would have to find some other way to allow someone to customize it, without it being in the main hand - this needs investigation.

2. Blade Thirst would only add 2AB to the weapon, as it will not stack with the Masterly Damask +3, we can look at allowing it, as is likely an oversight, but the effect would be marginal.

Speaking as a long time ranger fan the 2ab from blade thirst seems to me especially valuable given the net -5ab suffered from using the weapon in your off hand. There's also the matter of the damage mitigation from the on-hit healing which isn't trivial in pvm.

I think it's good that it can only be used for AC when wielded as an off-hand weapon and hope that doesn't change.

As a bit of an aside, this is actually a really interesting and clever weapon design, so kudos. I look forward to using it (provided bladethirst works!)

Thx for the clarity. So the plus 3 AB then -3ab doesnt cancel one another out? So a plus 4 bladethirst would only end up as 1 ab bonus? Makes sense.

Another point is the regen you get from blade thirst. 4 or 5 vampiric per hit is substantial. As is the plus 4 enchant bonus. Even with minus 3 ab you should still get the damage from the enchant bonus yes?
