In some cases that might be easier but some people may have old racial templates which can't be re-accessed without built up rewards.

Considering the speed in which you can level up new people now and the day the answer will most likely be a no. It would require manually editing the files which is what caused Spyre to become burnt out and I expect nothing will be done. Enjoy your infinite resurrecting machine since its a bard base class and not the new class as a unique grandfathered build.
