Since the last patch, a lot of players and NPCs haven't been loading correctly for me, as in the model doesn't load and the character name appears red. This has happened to me with both players and NPCs, but it happens most frequently with speedy messengers.

In the past I've occasionally had a bug where enemy models in dungeons don't load, but this seems different. I've never had non-hostile NPCs appear red like this before, let alone players. The NPCs appearing hostile aren't actually hostile, nothing's tried attacking me yet.

Here's an example. This happens very frequently, way more frequently than models not loading in dungeons usually happens:




Otherwise there was an issue just now where my character was in 2 places at once. I've never had this happen before either, I don't know if this is at all related to issues with the latest patch.
I was speaking to Melaete at the Sibayad docks portal. She went to the Arelith Forest, and my character was floating in the sky. I was still in Sibayad. She could examine the character in the forest and it would retrieve the correct profile, and she could even invite me to a party and it would work right. The only thing we didn't try is she didn't try attacking me.

In nwn2 this happens when two people are trying to play while being behind the router. Not sure if nwn:ee is susceptible to this bug or not.

If that's router things, that might explain how someone spoke through my character today. (words appeared above which I did not type)

Nobody else in my household plays NWN, I don't think it's a router issue. I also never experienced anything like this before. Given the other issues with the patch I included it in case it's connected.

Not in YOUR household. In household of any other players connected to the server. However, this was a NWN2 problem. Two people from behind the same router --> funny things all over the world. Including duplicate people and so on.

I experienced something similar yesterday with another player.

I could see their name floating as if they were there (which they were) but were entirely invisible. On top of that, they too were 'Hostile' to me. The portrait icon was also pitch black.

Relogging on both our parts did not change the situation.

Was it a halfling?

Had the same issue with the bendir head collector. First his model did not load but I could see his name floating around. Then, after entering and leaving the Hawkin nest, he was there, but red. Don’t know if he was hostile to me, since I did not go near him and wanted to avoid a brawl with all Bendir NPCs.

About the loading npc, can confirm that's a widespread issue.

Had a few "red invisible" ones (one in crow's nest, one in bendir).

My girlfriend (playing behind the same router), couldn't get quest in bendir because the halfling wasn't loading at all, but just for her because he was just fine for me.

Now that Xerath talks about it... it might be a halfling issue, because the one in crow's nest had a very halflingish name.

My two cents.

Same for me too - I've had an invisible speedy (the same on as the OP, in the tower, as it happens) as well as a halfling PC disappear on server load (they briefly appeared as 'hostile' too before changing to neutral).

Also had an enemy spawn invisible who I think is a human model, but that could be coincidence.

Yes, the other player was a halfling in my case.
