Race & Gift Ability Cooldown

Adding onto TRM's suggestion, It'd be nice if race spell-like abilities (eg, drow's Darkness) and spell-like abilities granted from gifts (ie, gift of darkness, hiding, and light) had cooldowns.
Albeit, the cooldowns would be long (5 rounds, prehapse?), but it would encourage people to take these otherwise unloved gifts and actually remember to use their race abilities.
