I am unsure if this is a bug or not, but I have been using Curse Weapon on a +1 Bastard Sword for about 2 weeks now without issues. However 2 days ago (June 16th) I was unable to use Curse Weapon on that same sword. I also tried it after I upgraded to a steel B Sword and it still did not work.

Steps to reproduce

Use "Curse Weapon" on a Bastard Sword +1 or a Steel Bastard Sword as Hexblade lvl4

Expected result
-----------------------
Application of a +1 effect to both to hit and damage (at least damage, not entirely sure on the to hit)

Actual result
-------------------
No effect

Again not sure if this is something intentional, when I first noticed it I was a Hexblade 4, Pale Master 5, Blackguard 2, and it was not immediately after I took my next level so if something simply overlapped and cancelled out I am unaware of it

Unless I'm misunderstanding you, this isn't a bug.

The +1 from curse weapon is the same +1 ab/dmg you'd get from a bastard sword +1 or less than the +2/+2 from a steel bastard sword. The effects don't stack. It takes the highest effect and applies it. If you were at a level where curse sword would be +3, then the curse sword should apply +3 damage total, overriding the +1 or +2 effect on the weapon, not adding to it.

If this isn't the case, let me know and I'll look into it what the problem is.

Before the marked date in the first entry, I was using Curse Weapon just fine on the +1 Bastard Sword (Been using it since I first started to the character basically), but when I went to do it on that day and up to now, it hasn't worked.
It's entirely possible that I'm missing something, but it also doesn't even apply the effect onto the blade like it did before (The red glow effect is mostly what I want).

The red glow was moved to a higher level.
- Hexblade: Curse weapon vfx only applies if hexblade level >= 21

Uh guys, nevermind, I'm stupid, it was an enhancement overlap like garrbear758 said, idk why it worked before but using it on a Sword of the Elements (ie.) works.
Someone can close this thread.
