Epic Spells using components as Harper Mage

Hello! Harper Mage takes spell components from your pouch when casting Epic Spells even if you have the Eschew Material feat. Is this intended, or should it be fixed?
Eschew Material feat: Does not need to use Spell Components (5th Harper Mage level)
