This was the poison gas floor trap in the vampire crypts in the skull crags. My character was in their totem shape.

Unless you have rogue-levels this might be entirely intentional and by design:

Special: Rogue is the only class capable of disarming traps with a DC of 35 or greater. With 5 or more ranks in the set trap skill a character gets a +2 synergy bonus on disable trap checks.

You can recover them, though it will cost you +10 more DC.
