Description of Bug Experienced:
Ranger totem doesn't seem to work. I chose wolf totem (for children of the night-ish ability) and the animal companion/summon creatures are just appearing as their normal selves.

Steps to reproduce the Bug:
1) Be highly flammable between 0800-2000 hrs.
2) Take ranger and choose totem.
3) Despair.

Expected Result:
Get a doggo.

Actual Result:
No doggo, only not doggo.

Additional Information/Notes
First note: I made the character, took ranger, and chose the totem before I got the vampire and outcast applied to the character. The 'Innate Ability' inventory widget does say Path of the Totem.

I worked with DM Wraith on this for about an hour and we tried a few things before giving up. First we tried -path, which offered only one option (No path.).

We tried a delevel to 2 and -path again with the same results.

We tried talking to the Totem NPCs both in the UD and on the Surface with no options to select, though the surface version seemed to indicate I had already chosen a path (I've never talked to these NPCs before so I don't know what the correct options actually look like but it seemed clear they weren't there).

Small subnote: we did a character rename just before I brought this issue up (issue was happening prior to rename too). I had deleted the old character name about a week prior so it should have at least cycled out with several resets.

Had a recent thought that totems might somehow conflict with the vampire polymorph ability and thus are disabled or broken? Seemed relevant to bring up as a potential issue.

This seems to be working on the PGCC.

Make a ranger on the award character, don’t select a path, get to level 6. Then speak to the NPC to get the totem applied.

Interesting! So it's somehow tied to taking the totem on creation. That helps, thank you.
