Additional Information/Notes
Happened to both the Ironhelm and The Weary Troubadour. I think the boarding hook does it. Another player thinks it disappeared when the boarding ladder came. The grappling hook was destroyed and the boarding ladder still appeared.

This is reposted so that the public eye of Arelith can see this.

Description
==========
As one might glean from the title of this post, there is a bug when the ships being boarded end up with no fixtures or interactable NPCs.

Specifically regarding the Weary Troubadour / Silver Stag: Breaking the grappling iron completely stripped the Troubadour of all NPCs except the 'Sailor' NPC and the seagull. It also removed any chance to move below deck and to jump overboard, along with any fixtures placed on board.

When DMs were contacted regarding the matter IG, they were unable to locate the ship.

Steps to reproduce
----------------------------
1) Get boarded by an opposing vessel
2) Break grappling iron after being grappled
3) Fixtures and NPCs disappear

Expected result
-----------------------
We could sail away from the ship after breaking the grappling iron.

Actual result
-------------------
All NPCs disappeared and any interaction to steer the ship was removed.

It still displays messages of enemies boarding the ship, but no enemies appear.

It is unable to be located by DMs, at least according to a conversation with DM Starfish.

Notes
---------
Relogging makes the situation worse, deleting even more fixtures. However a reset will fix the issues and the ship will return to the port it was last docked at.

EDIT: The ship does not count as 'sunk'. When speaking with the shipwright in the Crow's Nest, there is no damage done to the vessel, and no upgrades are 'downgraded'.

Follow up to this with some additional infomation.

We had just been attacked by NPC's

We then got the message a ship was nearby

We then had the grappling hook attach, which we removed quickly - however were still boarded.

Boarded by pirates (claimed not to be - typical pirates)

i believe as the boarding happened and the ladder appeared at the side of the ship the placeables all disapeared, it wasnt as the grappling hook was destoryed it was as they were boarding.

it removed all npcs/placeables except a couple of NPC's in the middle of the ship. - thankfully i recovered everything from the chests remains.

Not sure if this is relevant - we had around 11 PC's prior to being boarded, and 3 boarded us - one came over on his own first with two who followed.

Sorry for the delay. I did find an issue in the code when destroying the Grapple Chain, not sure how it could lead to removing all those other placeables and NPCs unless its some unexpected behavior on NWN's part because of it.

Anyway, I've applied a fix. Let me know if this still persists when you try out boarding again in the future.

Has this issue persisted?
