Happened twice now being in the Illithid dungeon where my character just gets randomly teleported to portal entrances in the Dungeon.

First time it was teleported to the Deeper area (Communion iirc), when my party was in the Izludes Torment area with me

Second time got Teleported to Izlude's Torment immediately on entering the Mind's eye from the Lower Dark

Was the server laggy?

This has been a thing for quite a while I believe.

Occasionally a trip turns into a rescue mission as a party member is suddenly ported all by their lonesome to some distant part of the dungeon!

I haven't noticed any rhyme or reason for it in the past.

I always thought it was intentional, that being the illithid sensed you and "snagged" you deeper to them. A hazard.

This one is a longstanding bug and very difficult to replicate. I'm moving it tentatively closed because it may as well just be an engine/tileset/lag issue. If someone ever manages to replicate this bug successfully and can provide steps for us to replicate it too, we'll address it there. As long as it's not endemic though I'm not too fussed. Mind flayers are bastards.
