I'd suggest some further elaboration on the description for the retake level option.

Specifically, It would be nice to see it state 'Sets you to 1 xp before the level entered', for clarity sake.

I was a bit uncertain when opening a ticket whether I wanted the level I am(that I made a mistake with) or the level I wish to go back to, I had thought it was the former but I didn't want to risk making a mistake so I sought clarification from a DM.

As is, I could see some confusion regarding whether the XP will be given back(particularly for new players who are not familiar with arelith's policies regarding giving XP back for these sorts of things), as well as whether to enter the level they were when they gained the levelup or the level they became.

I've always found it difficult to convey the exact meaning behind retake level. It's surprisingly difficult to explain in a way everybody will understand.

It doesn't actually set you to 1 XP minus the level, I only say that for DMs and players to better understand what's happening. But I guess I can update the description so it can avoid further confusion. Thanks

I guess you're right there- 1xp before the level is how it used to be done.

Maybe something like:
-Sets you to the start of the entered level, also allowing you to redo the level up for that level. Lost XP is not given back.
-Sets you to one level before the entered level, then giving the XP required to bring you to the start of the entered level. Lost XP is not given back.
----With this one you might be able to tie in an auto-fill so it actually shows the value entered. IE: If you enter 25, it says: "Sets you to level 24, then giving the xp required to bring you to the start of 25". I don't know much about web design though, so not sure if this is doable with how the page works)

I'm not really sure, I see the difficulty in finding a perfect phrasing. Regardless of that, the tool seems really amazing for both players and DMs alike!

This wasn't clear to me either when I used the retake level option to remove 2 levels, it ended up removing 3 levels and giving the one back.
