Casting an elemental weapon ward at npc companions which can receive the bonus

Steps to reproduce

Cast elemental weapon at Mordenkainen's blade or Shelgarn's blade or else.

Expected result
-----------------------
Adding elemental weapon bonuses to AB and elemental dmg to companion

Actual result
-------------------
There is an visual effect of elemental weapon spell on the companion, but without any bonus dmg and AB from it

Both possess magical weapons, which is why it may not actually be sticking.

Not true.
When cast on mordenkainen's sword it gets the visual effect and increase to it's ab of max +2(due to it's class level being to low to receive higher).
It does not get any elemental damage bonus however.

Both do use magical weapons (they have bonus damage).

Also, are you certain Elemental Weapon is adding the +2AB? While its weapon was changed slightly, I'm admittedly not sure if they stripped the +2 enhancment on its greatsword. Elemental Weapon shouldn't be limited by what the affected character's class level is but rather what the caster's caster level is.

I use it every day on my character. M sword gets +2 ab and a nice elemental effect visual on it's sword but not extra damage.
It follows the same rules as GMW does so when cast on any npc or character below level 18 they only get +2 not +3.

No, they do not. The bonus are on the character, not the weapon. I know this for a FACT as I used them both for leveling and used GMW on them, which wouldn't work if they used magical weapons.

I can confirm 100% this is a legit bug. If you use GMW it will work, it is things with an On:hit effect don't work on NPCs.

That makes sense i never use it on myself but yes it's the on hit effect that isn't working.
