VFX spells and outfits

So, with the new cloaks that have a transparent element added, in combination with the color customization of outfits I've found that certain spell effects (particularly the ones that cover the entire character like stoneskin or shadow shield) completely mess the colors up after they wear off. Additionally, they make the new transparent parts of cloaks visible.
Am I the only one who finds this slightly distracting?
I wonder if the effects could be replaced with something else perhaps?
