This one is going to be tough to explain. I practiced some on Discord though, so hopefully I can get it right in one shot.

I requested a relevel, got it, and it did what it was supposed to do. I took the level, my first specialist level and had about 100 skill points saved up which seventy or so were used that level. after hitting submit, I got a message saying "not enough levels to cross class " or something similar, its hard to screen shot because its a white message on the screen and not in the chat log. I have seen this before on the pgcc when I delevel back to the first cross class level, it just prompts you to relevel again and it goes through the second time. However, this time it ate all of the 70 or so skill points I used on that level. Its possible this was always an issue, I rarely put my skill points until the end on the PGCC, but yeah...rather worried this is not fixable, but here's hoping.

Is this on the PGCC or live servers?

This was on the live server, the relevel you just approved for me earlier today. But i did do some testing on the pgcc, and was able to duplicate it. Its also fixable for my character by deleveling him back to 1. Here's the results of my testing:

1) A tried it with a human fighter cross classing ranger at 4, deleveling back to 3 then going back up to ranger at 4 and allocating skill points here. I got the "you require 3 levels in your secondary class before you can add other classes" message again, did the level process once more and everything was fine. No skill points lost.

2) I then tried to mirror my in game build exactly, which is at this point 20 wiz 1 specialist sun elf. went to 21, deleveled back to 20, went back up to 21 putting in the skill points. Got the error message as expected, and the skill points were all gone.

Whether or not its the specialist or the sun elf int that borked it, I can't tell. I will test it some more.

I believe it is a re-level bug. I had the same thing happen to my druid. I tried leveling while shifted and used a bunch of skill points. Got the error message that you can't level while shifted so I un-shifted and tried again. Skill points were lost. Dropping me down one level and letting a level happen on tick fixed the problem.

More testing:

1) Had no issue cross classing a sun elf wizzard with a fighter.

2) A human generalist using the same format as the sun elf above worked fine as well, no issues with lost skill points. Which leaves one more variable to check, since the sun elf was an enchanter.

So, this is a bit frustrating, because every variable I tested it works fine for except my specific build where I was able to duplicate it. Its probably some mixture of sun elf int plus specialist, but I can't say anything for certain save for this being proof the universe hates elves.

I went through this recently with a 27/3 Wiz/Ranger build. My Cross Class levels were 27, 28, and 29, however the DM had to delevel me to the transition between 25 and 26 before I could spent my points as expected. When I also had a -relevel from 1, this was not an issue at all.
