Shadow Mage’s Darkbolt DC

10 base, 5 circle, 14 mod, 6 ESF= 35

But on PGCC, Darkbolt has a DC of 29 when you have all of that plus Shadow Mage path. I asked Garrbear if Shadow Mage losing DC and CL on Darkbolt was intentional and it wasn’t, so here’s the report. Thank you!

Can confirm that this is still a thing. Darkbolt still loses 6 DC if you are a Shadowmage.

As i recall, you can use shadow evocation to cast darkbolt at its full DC, because its counted as illusion through shadow evocation. since shadowmages loose CL on all evocation spells.

According to the Wiki, Dark- and Shadow-themed Evocation spells are not supposed to lose DC and CL for Shadowmages. Darkbolt is also not included in any of the Shadow Illusion spells.

ah i misread shadowbolt as darkbolt, a bit similar. i see the issue now. darkbolt is an amazing spell, should fix for shadow mages!!!!!
