Hobgoblin Hobos

Hadn't played my hobgoblin in awhile, but seen a new one around with a new skin and thought, gee...that's ugly...I'm glad I still have mine the way he is: with a matching portrait and meticulous description.
Except I don't. I too now have a hobgoblin hobo. I must ask, why? For a race known for its militarism, meticulous arms, and penchant for order...why oh why am I wearing a feed-sack bag of rags...am apparently blind in my one showing eye...and have black teeth?
Is there anyway to change this skin?

Okay...so maybe my Hob is a murder hobo. I just didn't want him to look like one.

It was a deliberate decision so that people wouldn't play "pretty" or "fashionable" monster races, when all it actually does is deter anyone from wanting to do anything with them.

Give hobgoblins the half-orc phenotype, -10% height and force a specific skin color, please.

I think the skin is pretty in its own right, but it doesn't look like a hobgob. The vision as described by RedGiant doesn't spring to mind.
And yes, pretty please, give us purty, dynamic hobgobs. Pleasepleaseplease.

I'm not going to use either humans or half-orcs, as stated before. They will remain as they are unless I can find an artist able to make significant improvements to the original models.

I dont mind the monster skin and I wasnt trying to look pretty, I just would like a choice. From what I can tell...we now have exactly one model that consists of rags and...is that wooden armor?
The default models presented a nice choice between armored and unarmored types...that sorta nicely spanned the str and dex continuum for representing your character.
If you simply kept these and added the current model, which I think might be good for rogues...rangers...and maybe a druid (wood armor!), then I think we might all feel we gained something rather than lost. Maybe just automate a model choice for all hobbos?

I like the new model. The old one reminded me of the blue orcs, cartoon style.
